Yeah if they keep this up idk how Daigneault doesn’t get COTY

I think the depth has always been a little overstated. It’s more the system and the coaching. I think you’ll start seeing it more as players leave the thunder, but they aren’t able to perform at the same level.

We have a system and a culture now.

We used to pray for times like this.

Yeah they have a system that works and also know how to get players for that system. Similar to Spurs in the past. I remember when Spurs always got some random players that nobody knew and they were all good in their system + they were still competitive with old Duncan, Parker, Ginobili.

They’ve had a lot of injuries in previous years and always had great seasons. I think that even if Shai misses some games they’ll be fine. The biggest problem they’ll have will be in playoffs. If JDub and Wallace are out for playoffs I really don’t see them winning it all. Depth matters less there and teams will prepare better for their system. Talent really matters way more in playoffs

LMAO

So underrated even in a comment gassing him up he still gets his name spelled wrong 😭

Dude cemented himself onto the roster after their WCF against the Wolves. Randle was having himself a series until Kenrich’s number was called. He also plays Wemby super well at the elbow and back.

This mf brought out the super talent once they gave him a shot

Crazy to think that two weeks ago when I was thinking of all the fun rotation and minutes distributions I was expecting him to take a lesser role this yr. I thought he would avg 8-10mn. Now he’s starting and holding down the fort

As opposed to the murdererd row that has been, say, the lakers schedule?

Not only did the OKC Thunder develop their players, they also developed their head coach, an incredibly more efficient way than trying to get a retread or poach someone from college.

With the tiebreaker against the spurs from the season opener, its perfectly acceptable to place them at number one imo.

they have the tie breaker over the spurs currently, so no, despite the records, they are not tied in the seeding with them

Kids and not knowing how anything works and then yapping about it from a google machine, name a more iconic trio.

These are official standings from the NBA which includes a multitude of tiebreakers. How do you think they decide playoff seeding when teams are tied? The standings update throughout the season and use the same system of tiebreakers.

Let us enjoy this moment after losing 3 starters lol

Everybody knows the Lakers are being propped up by a ridiculously easy opening schedule

Maybe but it will absolutely help build our trade stock of our bench which we werent lacking in to begin with. We can sus out some deep minutes as well.

Didn’t he win Coach of the Year?

Mitchell would hands-down start for most of the Eastern Conference teams if not most of the Western Conference teams, too. OKC has such crazy depth. They were stopped more so last year because SGA wasn’t 100% and because Chet didn’t do a whole lot at times, I mean, not having JDub obviously hurt, but SGA being 100% right now is different for sure.

Nah man! Thunder just have the best luck every year and lucked into a super team!

Rightfully so, he coaches to game the refs. It’s why literally no one outside of okc really cares unless they are obligated to talk about him

Lost out on 2 chips because he couldn’t bench a pedophile and Lu Dort

Of course who knows how things would’ve played out, but I always think about how we drafted Knox over him. Ah well, things worked out in the end

He’s a fantastic player, but there’s a very obvious reason he’s disliked.

Most players try to sell calls, but very few truly flop the way Shai does.

overhated? sure. one of the all time great guards? remains to be seen

Hot take: depending on how he finishes the year, SGA will become the second best shooting guard all time, overtaking Kobe. I know he plays point, but he is much more a SG than a PG.

These 10 games got him more respect from me than the championship season

They were replaced by two First Round Picks who are both playing great

“For the third straight season” is such a word thing to add to this on November 8 lol

I mean, every post on here right now is crowning Luka and the Lakers for beating a bunch of playin teams. I think it’s fair to celebrate OKC for beating a bunch of decent teams with these massive injuries.

Why are they talking about mvp everyday after every game. I agree with you but it’s just the crap that comes up on here

Same thing can be said for Luka’s mvp. Why we trying to crown him this early

Hard disagree actually. You’d probably feel different if you were watching the games. This team looks like a cohesive unit

why are we talking about mvp in november oh wait…

It’s thunder fans. They’re just kids, they don’t get it

because the difference between the 3rd seed and the 7th seed can be as close as 1-2 games now? teams actually have to live and die for every game now if they want an ideal matchup so y’all gotta stop w/ this bs lol

History shows the most consistent and best teams at the beginning of the season is indicative of how they will be at the end of the season

Aye yo fellow maobappe fan, but yes don’t think sga can keep carrying them once fatigue starts kicking in. And any talk of seeding is asinine before the asb

Yup this is Uncle Dennis’ NBA

The man is on a serious mission.

So actually what you meant to say is technically they aren’t tied because they literally have a tie breaker.

Should be fun to see how OKC does against Portland, they are a tad better than Cleveland, Memphis, and Washington in their last four.

I don’t get why we aren’t second instead of spurs

Only 1 of those 3 is the real 1st seed. Yall know what team it is.

Who knows, but if OKC gets a 1-4 seeding with all the injuries, I will be pretty stoked.

The 1 seed? Probably not. Top 3-4 in the west? Sure. Since Hou-Dal we’ve had a pretty easy schedule since Cleveland is way worse than they should be. It’ll get tougher coming up and I’d imagine we’ll have some off shooting games where we just struggle on offense.

No but it is nice to see that we can easily stay afloat in even the worst of situations

Probably not but I think any other team losing three starters would not be where the Thunder are today.

They beat us in the standings last year with some pretty bad injury trouble. Not as bad as this year, but still… they have a lot of depth, they’re well-coached. I expect to see them in the WCF again - hopefully healthy by then.

They’ve beaten some good teams so far. If they don’t have anymore injuries, they should finish with 45+ wins

Yes

Yes. The team is working together and rookies and two way players are stepping up. The schedule seems pretty good for the rest of November and December. Sga was able to sit in fourth quarters for the both last games. He’ll step up in more challenging games like the next two games against the blazers.

Man, who knows? Been super fun so far though and all these extra minutes for the young guys will do wonders

Yes. Okc has the best drafting in the league thanks to sam presti and managed a great season without jdub. Even before okc gotta remember he pushed for tony parker to the spurs. Lakers are fickle and mostly rely on Luka. Spurs have developed a strong starting team but have struggling subs. Harper moving to starter is justified, but i think champagnie needs good players to take off heat for his shooting. Daigneault i find to be the best coach among the western conferences big 3

I actually think it will. This team is looking really good. Mara is getting better every single day, peavey is looking like an excellent defender.m, McCain and AJ have been lighting up (for the most part) and stirtz does not look like a rookie lol. We are smoooking teams right now
