That’s my thought too. If he keeps playing poorly and ²⁰⁄₈ is the floor, he will be fine.

Yeah turnover is an issue but his a rookie his gonna improve in that regard eventually

He was clutch af

He had ³⁄₄ FGs, then that went to ³⁄₇ by the time I tuned in, and I saw him drive in and try to score with a defender on his hip and soon after that he just threw up an early shot.

But once Steph got back on and the rest of the offense stabilized, they started running the offense through him or Draymond and Yaxel became more of a play finisher. Hit a nice shot with a screen, the dunk from Steph’s pass, cuts, etc.

Yaxel is already a great player but like a lot of raw rookies, he needs veterans out there holding onto the ball for 10+ seconds so the offense can stabilize and they can get better looks. Yaxel getting the ball early is fine on a mismatch, but too much offensive responsibility is going to make anybody look bad.

Yaxel also needs to work on boxing out and his help defense (and TOVs but warriors can be pretty TOV heavy so ehhh).

Adam Silver won’t let the top three pick getting shamed by the 11th pick. So no

My only other opinion is that that Lacob (and the FO) should be lynched for bricking the Wiseman and Kuminga picks.

He’s right where he’s supposed to be he’s 24 not some 19 year old rookie

no one is even close right now. dont care how much “boozer” propaganda people put out there

There’s simply no other rookie who’s off to a better start than him

Yeah it’s not even close right now. Whole class looks good though.

We gonna be championship

10 game stretch so far, if they add Jimmy and don’t miss a step, it’s not possible, it’s likely imo

Age

He was one of the best players in the NCAA last year but many people thought that it wasn’t that impressive because the guy is like 40. Lots of Knecht comparisons. Not to mention that younger guys like Dybantsa, Boozer, and Acuff also had historic seasons. I always liked Yaxel but I thought he would be more of an elite role player than a 20ppg scorer in the league. The fact that his scoring translated that well is just amazing

People say “age” but what they really mean is higher ceiling. The top 4 of the draft could be the next SGA. Those lottery teams are looking for their franchise star. I think Yaxel could be an all-star, but I don’t think he’ll ever be competing for MVP.

Age and low usage

I mean he is old as shit in terms of a rookie basketball player nothing wrong with that lol

“1 2 3 old as shit” - this sub literally everybody

He locked in hard in the clutch and overtime. That 3 was huge and so were he OT drive

thats exactly what he did in OT. major defense

he’s 2nd behind Boozer in RPG this season

When you have a player like Yax, they have to pick their spots when they are going to lockdown defensively. They are too needed on offense. I thought Yax did a great job in OT

Even though he is a chucker. Acuff Jr would be the only one even remotely in the conversation…

At this point I don’t know, at mid season Mara is gonna be in.

Nahhh. The other guys still have far higher ceiling than him, players like Peterson. Dybantsa, Boozer and Wilson. His first step isnt gonna go faster but he can be better on reads and help defense and bully ball.

He’d definitely go 5th. Dont think he can be a cornerstone like those 4 but definitely a 2nd best player for sure

5th.

38*

We were all 28 once..or will be 28 once….u no 28?

He fought in Vietnam war
