Two feet in, touchdown Warriors
That’s not a catch, the win has now been automatically awarded to the basketball team nearest to Kansas City
Hi there
oh, it’s just the Chiefs of the NBA /s
49ers might need him this week
Not might
Did you know Hall of Fame Tight End Podz used to play basketball?
Been overshadowed by Steph and Yax, but he’s been solid so far this year
He’s been great, shooting a bit better but most importantly playing so much smarter
He’s been balling out but idk if he’s ever going to play good enough for the general republic to respect him. I’ve seen some pretty wack things about him out there.
He’s good but he will need to start upping his Command Posts captured per 36 if he wants the respect of the Republic
The People’s Republic of Korea will be very disappointed by his wack things
Watch those wrist rockets
I hate that I’ve become a meme
You should try spinning, that’s a good trick!
Save it for the enemy!
Fuck Podz haters
I remember when half of our sub were furious that we didn’t cave into Danny Ainge and give him Podz, Moody, Kuminga, and all of our picks for Lauri Markkenen lol
There has been some absolute slander said about Podz (and Moody).
Ok well no knew Yax was gonna be him. It turns out that was the correct call tho
Needs to do it when it matters most. Can’t no show another playoff series
he was injured
He also was the only one who showed up in the play in against suns last year
Idk about y’all, but a lot of the Podz hate in my algorithms has died down, which is a testament to how good he has been playing. As a certified Podz believer from day 1, it’s really good to see people waking up.
I know Podz is a good player, it’s just sometimes he does some stupid shit every few times a game and it makes him look worse
It’s because he’s finally in the role that fits him. 3rd/4th scoring option. 2nd/3rd ball handler on the court at all times. Nothing for people to complain about now. Best suited for pressure relief, rather than a primary option.
Goes to show the loudest on here are usually the least informed
yeah hard to be the focus when you’re playing with a top 10 all-timer and Steph
🗣️🗣️🗣️
People might actually be surprised by this one, but he’s younger than Yax too. Lol
Not surprised at all, everyone’s younger than Yax.
Yax is a 40 years old rookie
He’d be Brock Purdy’s best option at WR rn
White Shohei
He genuinely has excellent hands, he had a similar catch in the suns game where he made an over the shoulder grab on an inbounds pass from a very tricky angle. Made it look easy.
I know exactly which play you’re talking about! But he really does - he tracks well too
Yeah 100% has great spacial awareness
Podz gets memed a lot but he’s genuinely an elite role player.
Much better than last year in my opinion. I don’t know why but it feels like night and day lol
He was absolutely balling out the last 2-3 months of last season.
Even better than he is playing right now.
dude averaged 20+ in the month without curry and was elite with him what?
lol the same idiots who were clowning on him last year are pretending Hes all of a sudden a completely different player.
Dude was balling last year after a slow shooting first month or so. Otherwise he had a fantastic season last year and turned up the heat after all star(at the peak of his hate he was playing the best basketball of his career).
I was fighting the slander in our sub day and night I swear to god. The haters were rabid for some reason.
I don’t know why but it feels like night and day lol
He’s continuing his play from the second half of last season, but honestly the reason it “feels” a little more serious is because of the hair lol.
Turns out, you can’t really shine as a role player when all your stars are injured and you’re suddenly the first option.
Except he was absolutely shining.
Last two months of the last year he averaged 17/6reb/4ast/1st on 48/40/83 shooting amd they were 5 points better defensively with him on the floor.
This was at the peak of social media hate lol
He proved me wrong for sure, I thought he’d pan out to be a Nick Young archetype
That’s actually incredibly impressive
Yeah like Podz is much more athletic than people realize and had like a 39” vertical because he has pretty unimpressive wingspan so his athleticism plays down but he really does do all the white player stereotype stuff. He’s an elite BBIQ guy.
“Sneaky athletic”
Ever since he cut that yee yee ass hair he been playing good
Don’t hate me cause I’m beautiful
mimicing Steph was part of the ritual
He looks like a frat boy who dressed as Steph for Halloween. Honestly Niang looks kinda like someone dressed as Klay too…
And somehow needs draymond to pull him off skirmishes
This is my favorite part of the season so far. I love seeing draymond try to calm down niang
That’s White Curry to you!
Tikka Masala.
Now he got some bitches on his dick. Oh, better yet, maybe Tanisha will call his dog ass if she ever stop fucking with that brain surgeon or laywer she fucking with
Say the next line
No… I don’t think I will
N
i
Please proceed, Governor
Perfect reference in celebration of next week
Yeah, it’s the hair, not the hard work he’s put in every season. For sure
It’s a gta meme bro
Podz is legit a clutch ass player now
madlad
Have I ever said negative things about Podz?
Have I ever criticized Podz on the court?
That was slick
Touchdown Niners
Toe dragging a timeout is crazy work
I’m sorry pod for the past years I’ve hated you
It turns out Steve Kerr was right all along.
Whats funny is at the peak of his hate he was playing even better than this and absolutely balling out.
Anyone who actually understands basketball saw this last year for over half a season lol.
Hes been playing like this for a while.
Can he part time wide receiver for the Niners?
Better than Brandon Aiyuk atp
Does anyone remember what a huge part of Karl Malone and Charles Barkley’s game was to sprint for balls that were going out of bounds, grab the ball and call timeout as they were flying out of bounds? To the point that the league made a rule change in 1997.
It’s crazy how good Steph still is at his old age
the Warriors love role players from South Eastern Wisconsin
podz is actually such a good player when hes not trying to be steph
Just a smart high IQ play 🫡
Can he line up tomorrow? might need an extra option at wideout for BP(urdy)
They way they are playing if they hadn’t miss on the Porzingis deal I think they would have been on me of the top teams at the end of the season considering they are getting buttler later this year.
The Warriors sub aint gonna like this
He will become our better version of Caruso.
Probably shouldn’t be legal but I’m glad that it is!?
I don’t think this type of timeout should be allowed. It’s too dependant on if the refs wants to give it or not. I think to call timeout you need to be standing with both feet in bounds, with momentum not about to take you out of bounds. You must be dribbling and your coach calls it, or pick up the ball and call it yourself.
Then every foul and shot should follow the same rules. If u can shoot and foul with just one foot in bounds, you can call a timeout. I think this is a complete non issue, and further restricting the game is unnecessary and sensational.
This has always been past of the game. Players have been doing it for decades and it’s a high bball IQ play in crunch time.
He was holding the ball with 2 feet inbounds and called the timeout. It’s clearly allowed and should be.
The timeout is granted as soon as the player calls it as long as they have possession (see timeouts on rebounds late in close games where they set the game clock to the exact tenth of second when the player got the rebound)
Why? What’s the issue. If you have posession and available timeouts?
Because we don’t allow live play timeouts in basically any other sport. Can you imagine a quarterback about to be sacked being able to call timeout? Idiotic, no? What’s the difference?
But football has a dead ball every seven seconds. Literally after every play. In basketball it is conceivably possible to play an entire quarter without the clock stopping, so it makes sense that you’re able to cause a dead ball.
In basketball it is conceivably possible to play an entire quarter without the clock stopping…
That’d be great, don’t you think?! Live ball timeouts can wreck exciting parts of the game, like when teams are trying to mount a comeback and are about to force a turnover, ref’s whistle “Timeout!”
You should familiarize yourself with FIBA rules, which is how the rest of the world plays basketball. No live ball timeouts (except immediately after a basket, and only by the team that has been scored against).
Different sport. Different rules. That’s the difference.
What about FIBA? They don’t allow liveball timeouts. Are they the same sport?
I used one sport as an example, what is another major sport that allows live play timeouts?
I used the football analogy because it shows how idiotic NBA timeout rules are. Oh, you’re trapped along the sideline in your backcourt and are facing an 8 second count? I’ll just call timeout. No difference whatsoever from a QB calling a timeout because he’s about to be sacked.
And to be clear, the rest of the basketball world - which uses FIBA rules, does not allow live play timeouts.
i can never get used to players calling timeouts in the first place hahah
Calling fouls, out of bounds, travel, carry, free throw lane violations etc are also entirely subjective and the refs dont give it out consistently.
Live ball timeouts in basketball is one of the single dumbest rules in all of sports. Imagine them in any other sport - oh, there’s a blitz and I’m about to be sacked - TIME OUT! It’s infuriating every single time they allow this nonsense.
I ref FIBA basketball rules, and they are SO much better and more logical: only dead ball, signaled from the table.
Agreed 100%
