Just ridiculous shot making in this game even for him
He’s always ridiculous, but there are certain times when it feels like he woke up and remembered that he’s Stephen Curry.
He was like that all of 2016, then just garden variety Steph until April of 2021, when literally just a month of him being THE Steph Curry was enough to put him top 3 in the MVP race despite him not even being in the top 10 in March.
There are some times when he remembers that he’s not just the greatest shooter ever, but rather that he can make shots nobody else should even try.
Like wtf even is that shot? Bro casually pulled up from a ball shielding position and hit nothing but net 💀
Seriously shit like this make it feel likes he’s playing a completely different sport lol
The man’s not even hiding when he has his aimbot on anymore
What? That clearly hit rim.
Feels like 2016 Curry game
these highlights are essentially shots that get you benched if you weren’t steph curry rofl
bro how do you defend that lmao
Idfk at this point man. Shoot him?
he’d hit a 3 from the casket
Prolly just catch the bullet right in the pocket and throw up another shot
BANG!
…..Gotcha bitch
And one.
Just going to end up a 4 point play
he’d shoot from heaven with a screen from St Paul
Hit him in the face, refs probably won’t call it anyway
Whack him in the fucking face
Hard foul him. Curry never gets the call.
Karate kid him
sweep the leg
Parking lot before he enters arena
You could guard him from the moment he wakes up, he’s still dropping 3s.
Ridiculous shot but you could start with getting a hand up lol
If you do that he will drive and step back or drive and shoot or whatever.. The second you turn your hips he’s already got you so you need to stay ready for the contest
I mean this is a Hail Mary BS three with stephs WRONG FOOT forward to beat the shot clock…. If you have your hand up he just pump fakes takes one dribble and you are fucked anyway
With little time on the clock you want him to dribble, especially towards the basket. Step back isn’t a risk if you’re OK pushing him to the paint. Pump fake isn’t a threat either of your hand is already up and you aren’t trying to jump. You don’t lose much by having a hand up and take away what steph wants most.
That’s absurd. He just flicked it up like a trash shot and sinks it
Nothing I could do coach, nah you guard him
They gotta repost it
This is the kind of shit you do after practice lol
Well, this is after practice, so… sure.
This is so disrespectful, and so beautiful to watch
What do you even say at this point
Guy is taking and making video game shots
Video games don’t let these shots go in
Underrated comment.
If he can stay relatively mobile, I could see curry playing till 45 lmao dudes a cheat code
He doesn’t even have to be mobile. He’s such an absurd shooter that you have to leave someone on him at all times. His ass could sit down at half court and still draw a defender.
Honestly I would love to see him on a minimum contract at 45+ getting like 5-10 minutes a game just halfassing some of the time. He’d probably die trying to play defense but you’re right on this part.
Teams constantly leave two players on him lol
How you gonna have an old man who can’t run play on defense lol
He wouldn’t be a starter or get a lot of minutes, but could still get value as a deeper rotation player
This dude is just unreal man, what did we do deserve you Steph
Curry with a defender right on him:
“Oh shit, I’m wide open, YEET!”
He’s 38!!!
He’s only 38 you sick fuck
Fucking love this meme
Shit probably makes a defender want to punch him lol
Bro is looking like prime curry on some nights
Some nights? It’s been almost every night
Surely this can’t keep happening right
Somewhere Mark Jackson is screaming at his TV, “hand down… man down”
This isn’t a pull-up three. This is a triple-threat three… which honestly makes it even more impressive.
Lmao this is like when I accidentally hit the shoot instead of pass button and it accidentally goes in
Dude’s 38 doing this
He’s at that point in his career where he’s just inventing new shots in-game and seeing what he can get away with.
Steph and Luka really just be chucking bullshit to the air and they barely miss lmao
He was playing like a true Daddy today
This won’t go on for much longer
Ball goes in hoop for as long as Steph makes it
Look at him sneak the ball to his right getting ready to launch that
I love when Steph does the thing where he remembers, “Oh wait yeah I’m Steph lol” and chucks some stupid shit that any other player in the league gets cut for but it goes in perfectly.
It’s a great shot, but genuinely why does he not put his hand up! What benefit do you have by not putting your hand up? It almost looks like he moves out of the way of the shot.
It’s all about the footwork. Righties shoot with their right foot ahead of their left, which squares them with the basket. In triple threat, Curry moves his right foot to be behind his left foot. Basketball instinct would tell you that this person isn’t going to shoot the ball since they aren’t in a good shooting position. Instead, you’re expecting them to start to dribble around the screen. Cain begins moving to Curry’s left side so that he can chase him around the screen, which you want to do to keep Curry off the three point line. This is all based on Curry’s footwork being in “non-shooting” position.
But Curry has done this a few times in his career. Notice how his body rotates as he’s jumping. His shoulders are only square to the rim at a certain point, meaning he has to time it perfectly. It is incredibly hard to do, even for someone like Steph. I don’t think Cain even really registered it as a possibility, and so he didn’t react. Steph has done this before, and the defender barely reacts because they have no reason to think he’s going to shoot, because he’s in a position where he shouldn’t be able to shoot with much accuracy.
he didnt expected the shot
Thats not a usual shooting position for a righty. You can notice that Steph had to turn his body in the air. Its a very difficult shot. No one does that on the regular.
Contrary to popular belief, handcheck is still alive and well in the NBA. Players use it to push and divert the offensive player to a position they want, or you can use it to go around an incoming screen, disrupts passes, and somehow maintains your center of balance (try it).
Probably to not risk a foul.
