[Lowlight] Celtics announcers give Naz Reid a poorly timed compliment
Naz Reid :(
Bro is a bum
Man that sucks to hear he’s not doing well we love him. It’s only ten games hopefully he can find he’s footing but it’s look like another Tim Connelly win so far
He was loved as a 6th man but as the centerpiece of the trade that shipped their star away he’s got big shoes to fill.
hopefully it’s not like Batum where he just withered there and lost all hope
I think he’ll figure it out, if you know his story he’s a very tenacious person.
Should be able to scam a team out of good assets at the deadline before the reputation disappears
its crazy minnesota pr gassed him enough that teams thought he could be a centerpiece
Its not Minnesota PR, hes the classic bench guy that fans fall in love with. We never claimed he was a star, he was off the bench for a reason. Its Charlotte, and the media’s, fault that they assumed he was better than he was. Expecting him to live up to Balls impact was always delusional
He’s just not a starter. He’s a perfect bench guy but this just isn’t a jump he can make
Nah’ Reid
Why don’t more commentator’s compliment players on the opposing team? Are they stupid?
We’re actually very complimentary of other guys, one of the reasons I like Scal
Yeah I feel bad as he’s been dragged lately. He’s usually a really positive guy who you can tell loves the game.
He also spends a lot of time with these athletes. He has countless anecdotes of training with players all over the nba during the summer.
My favorite broadcast duo in the NBA
Drew is growing into the gig for sure. He’s no Mike, but he’s better than most.
I thought he was fire out of the gate. I had him just slightly above Wembanyama in my 2023-24 rookie of the year rankings.
broadcaster MCW
Mike did it for 40 years, there’s no replacing him but the kid will get better just as Mike did
Mike Gorman was a world class play by play guy, we were lucky the national broadcast didn’t lure him away from us
The best was when Tommy would instantly complain about a ref’s call, and then when watching the replay prove him wrong Mike would coax a begrudging admission from Tommy that the idiot blind ref actually got the call right
Drew’s awesome and the chemistry with Scal makes these broadcasts very enjoyable.
Tommy/Mike are absolute legends, we’ve been fortunate over the last 35-40 years.
Selfishly, Im hoping Drew doesn’t leave for a National gig.
I’ve really been enjoying their commentary and riffing as a neutral fan when I catch some of their games. They got good play by play commentary mixed with laid back/ funny moments like watching with a random knowledgable guy that you met at a sportsbar.
I was watching the hornets commentary and eric collins was saying something nice about Naz as well and did not acknowledge the attempt or miss whatsoever lol
then a possession or two later he hit a 3 and collins recognized that he must have wanted it after the previous, bad miss
Literal commentators curse
Bruh forgot to end it with allahumma barik
7’ is tall but 6’9 is nice
Something something deep drive to left field…
