38⁄39 ppg might be unsustainable for whole year. But what people dont get is his normal is around 32/33ppg. So even if he goes back to that in a month or two he’ll just end up averaging around 35⁄36. Which is insane at its own.

Not for a full season and not because of the lack of ability to do so. He’s still pretty young but going 100% for an entire season can be detrimental. Being healthy come playoffs is just more important

This happens every year brother. Lakers fans get really excited watching Luka put up insane numbers against bad defenses (see Clingan on all these highlights involving a pick and roll)
Then Lakers play a good defensive team (e.g. OKC) and Luka doesn’t do as well. IIRC last year he averaged ~16 ppg against OKC and the Lakers lost those games by an average of ~36 points
This year’s OKC team is a hospital squad but there’s still no way they (or the Spurs, or any other good defensive team) are gonna play drop coverage on the pick and roll every play like Clingan is doing in these clips, effectively giving Luka a wide open shot. No wonder he’s shooting like fifteen 3’s a game
