Replays/alternate angles

The NBA is legitimately so much better when they’re calling this
We had to challenge to get that call though.
Ref is literally right there too. The review took awhile as well. 3 different angles, asked all 3 refs to review first, asked the replay center to show them again. I get that you wanna get the call right but come on it was clear as day lol
I feel for the refs on this though. These players are so good at flopping it’s hard to tell in real time. I almost wish they’d implement a replay assist for flopping like the NFL does for some things.
I wish they would call it more consistently. Reaves could’ve had a few tonight
Spur on Spur (exaggerated) violence!
I was gonna say, these guys were teammates!
How much longer do you guys think they’ll keep this up? Christmas?
End of November
I mean you can see the active effort they put in to calling these, idk see why they won’t make it till the end of the season
Just feel burned from when they started calling flopping aggressively one year and then completely going back to the way things were. Not getting my hopes up again.
They are better at calling defensive flopping than offensive. They still reward the head snap bullshit and similar moves way too often.
Hopefully longer. They gave up on screens yesterday and today.
“If a screener has not set their feet and instead slides their body sideways, leaning or extending their hip outside the frame of their body to block the defender’s path, an illegal moving screen foul will be called.”
.. Call a moving screen every time. First 2 weeks, players will foul out then adjust. Would make the game soo much better for everyone outside of Golden state especially
Do you actually watch any golden state games? The refs been much more strict with golden state than other teams for years, and golden state has had a million (dubious) moving screen calls this season. Not to mention golden state hasn’t been any worse on this front than the average nba team since like 2016.
If refs called moving screens on the warriors years ago they would have zero titles
Yeah.. Plenty of them Thursday. Did you watch?
New rule proposal:
If the changed call becomes a flop, you should get an extra challenge.
Could’ve called this on one replay why did this take 5+ minutes
Yeah, should have taken all of 5 seconds to call that off the repllay.
Mico Nori screeched at the ref to call that who basically did it to calm him down. Fuck that making us have to burn a challenge.
Micah
This is cool and all but we want flopping called on OFFENSIVE players. Flopping on offense is way bigger problem than it is on defense.
Yea but this was an insane acting job..even I was fooled while watching it live.
I agree, it should have been called. But when I checked a few games ago there were zero flopping techs called on offensive players driving to the rim. I think Trae Young got one on a 3pt attempt, but that’s it. They should be calling them on both sides.
Cool! Now do it on SGA
I forgot who said it but the refs seem to be calling most of these flops on the defensive side but not as much, if at all, on offensive flops
Lol JJ said it
SGA has already been nerfed a bit with the ‘ban’ on push off
I watched a thunder game last week and he did his push off 3 times while I was watching. None of them were called an offensive foul.
He’s averaging 30 a game. He’s still OP
that ban has no effect on him because his chicken wing move has always been legal. the rules require extension of the elbow and forearm for it to be a pushoff. he doesnt extend it and when he does it rightfully gets called. but you can find tape going back to the 80s showing guys use that move. i played with guys in highschool that did it all the time.
It does not require extension to be an offensive foul. The rulebook only states that it needs force to dislodge, re-route, or move the defender out of their legal defending position. Extension is not required. The chicken wing, by the rule book, has never been a legal move. Period.
Regardless, if you take about 4 seconds to think about it, a chicken wing IS an extension anyway. Not only is it extended upwards, but it’s also extended out. You have to move your arms up, and then out away from your body. These players have near 7 foot wingspans, meaning their forearm is nearly 2 feet away from their body. That is an extension and you can obviously generate a ton of force moving your arm from a dribble position, to up to your nipple height, and out 2 feet away from your body.
So, again, per the NBA rulebook an extension is NOT required, but the chicken wing IS an extension even if it was a requirement.
from the nba video rulebook “The extension of his left arm from elbow to wrist, to push off his defender is illegal, and it is an offensive foul.”
You don’t watch basketball lol
??? He’s totally right lmao shai would get ejected every game
This is how I determine who actually watches games lmao. You’re the result of an echo chamber. Basically a bot.
casual moment
Yeah exactly, just look at how many FT’s he shot against the cavs
I never said his flops always get him ft, he does his best tho
spurs need a healthy dose of it too
Have you seen SGA flop this year?
Bruh. Rage baiting this early? Let me have my coffee. He’s been truly amazing, but fucking really?
Just dm me the clips
yet somehow no review when a defensive player gets a broken nose from an elbow to the face when Beringer was hit in the Wolves Pelicans game. No foul call and a play on, because apparently only exaggeration of contact by defenders is looked at, not excessive contact from offensive players, that is a play on.
Spurs on spurs violence.
This should have way more upvotes
one of the more egregious flops ive seen in awhile lol
And now Luka gets rewarded with a flip. Love the consistency.
Luka flipped? Front flip or back flip? I missed it
It was a double mcflip
I had to turn it off when they called scoots 5th foul on Luka before half court, inconsistent calls, miserable basketball by the blazers and Luka doing Luka
You must hate the Blazers for having 5 more FTA than the Lakers then.
The blazers drive bro you cannot be genuine
Nah Lakers fans were told drives don’t matter when we were leading the league in free throws. Sorry mate.
