Giannis seems so unhappy already. Bam is literally the same player as him, except the Walmart bargain version, and outside of him they have no depth. Did Giannis actually join a closer to contender team, or is this just the Bucks lack of hope situation all over again in a new City

I mean, being just below the middle of the pack is the ideal place to be right now if you can’t win a championship. Barely miss the play-in? Congrats, you have the best odds for the #1 pick.

Milwalkee wouldn’t have done that.

Herro and Giannis would be a terrible 2-man as you’d still be missing a facilitator.

Miami is in the same boat as the Rockets last season.

The Heat should have just blown it up. Herro and Giannis also dont move the needle either and wouldnt be good enough anyway.

They needed to realise that fact and just accumulate some assets instead of going for a superstar but keeping the rest of the roster completely bare. I also think Giannis is a difficult superstar to build around since he needs ballhandling and shooting.

heres a better take: the heat shouldnt’ve traded for giannis.

in 2026, only the deep teams go far, not top heavy ones.

Hot take but they shouldn’t have made the trade at all. To give up so many quality players alongside picks is such a steep price if you’re trying to contend. I could defend it if you had a superstar already on the team but Bam is not.

Would have rather they continued developing the young core and try their luck in the new lottery system because this team is a second round exit at best

Imagine if Bron went there too lol. Talk about congestion

Miami and Milwaukee are both way worse off now

Pretty sure Giannis would have refused to go to Heat without Bam there.

It’s 9 games. They have the smartest coach in the league trying to figure out how to utilize the most explosive dominant offensive force in the league. Knicks needed 50 games to figure it out last season. Why don’t you give Miami at least 10 games? SETTLE DOWN

Wow this is a fresh, brand new take.

Giannis gave up joining Steph for this. It’s all him

why would the bucks want bam’s max contract

Can’t move the captain

The problem with the Heat is ownership and management refuse to rebuild. So they just stay in mediocrity until they can get a big star. They should have started rebuilding after trading Jimmy Butler but didn’t want to

Herro is injury prone. I don’t trust his health

both should’ve been traded to start a rebuild

There’s more to team building than the stat sheet, Bam is the heat’s named captain, cultural core, and will be there till the day he retires. To ship him out of all a sudden would be cultural suicide, they’re not going near that.

Idk if they’d be much better, if at all. Herro and Giannis are a nicer fit but this is Herro we’re talking about. Inconsistent and always injured. Bam and Giannis just a bad fit, both need the paint. Heat’s best shooter is a mostly washed Klay who to his credit, was lights out 2016 style for three straight games but he’s mostly gonna shoot ³⁄₁₁ every game for the rest of his career. Wiggins just don’t care about basketball. Role players doing role player things, not contributing much, but not doing much bad, just existing. I was briefly on bandwagon that the Heat would be a defensive powerhouse but these guys are just a bad fit of players with zero chemistry, minimal effort, zero spacing, and zero shooting. There’s just too many issues. A dude named “Tyler Herro” who plays 35 games a year wouldn’t change anything imo

Giannis isn’t a floor raiser. He completely lacks the ability to play within a system, both defensively and offensively. And Miami plays within a system. Yal gotta stop blaming Bam. He can adapt over time, but Giannis can’t (very Westbrook like in this way).

yeah but he scored 82
