Of course, Clippers shouldn’t have blown their lead to put themselves in a situation where an L2M report was necessary, but still frustrating. The 3-second violations and Adebayo foul are particularly egregious.

I have long held the belief that typically these Clippers lead losses are for a longer period of non calls and ref adjustments that get a team back into it. I was at the Raptors game and during their come back,. which was largely based on whistles, was clear that during those minutes the Clippers all of a sudden could not defend without fouling. I am not saying that there isnt a foul you could call on so many plays throughout the game that are not called, but it is a cascade of calls that basically keeps the clock stopped and allows the other team to get back into it.

I hope that was clear, but essentially it requires Clippers to be perfect, when they aren’t, and just by the end of the came all that is reported is Clippers blow lead or other team makes come back, so why would it ever get looked into when the Clippers are already a pretty small fan base, and no consistent reporting on them makes it so no one is looking, except for Pablo of course, he looked long and hard in the worst way haha.

“A cascade of calls” is a good way to put it. I was surprised I didn’t hear a lot of talk about the officiating after the game, when it looked pretty plain to me that the vast majority of calls were going a certain direction towards the end of the game.

Yeah these reports are so pointless because all it does is piss people off even more

13 | 13 hours ago

No. This is the start of accountability. Dont start the hate train on it or theyll just use it as an excuse to be even more opaque. Yes, these refs sucked. At minimum, the league has started admitting it

SSJMonkeyx2

We’ve had the L2M report for over a decade now and it’s led to nothing. Accountability is a facade as they just brush it off for the most part and doesn’t lead to anything substantial

I get the Clippers are a widely hated team, but the refs unabashedly favoring a given team in any game—especially to this degree, where it changes who wins—should be alarming to fans of any team, whether you like the Clippers or not.

As a heat fan I was watching the game like bruh this is like something I’d expect to see from highschool refs nba has become completely unserious

DalliLlama

Not arguing the calls but the Davion travel video Bam bricks a 3 and Lopez rebounds it. How does it end in 2pt make?

3s2ng

26 | 14 hours ago

LMAO. 1 or 2 missed call is acceptable. But 4?

And that 3-seconds, there is no way they will call that in the future. I can guarantee, there will be another L2M report with the same missed 3-second violation call.

Same shit against the Raptors too. Clearly the orders from on high are that the Clippers are non grata and are to lose everything this year. Because they cheated with money.

There’s probably people in this subreddit that haven’t followed the NBA in a year that the Clippers didn’t owe their pick to OKC. Of course they do

OT, 1:50 - Davion Mitchell uncalled travel (should be turnover, ends in 2PT make)

Incorrect, it ends in a missed three and defensive rebound by LAC

EatMyShortzZzZzZ

They had to do all that and the heat still only won by one in OT. that team is cheeks lol

RyverFisher

I wonder how many refs are out there in the job market. Are these just bad or are they taking orders? Any consequences for getting x amount wrong?

There can’t be many games that have a 3-second violation called in the clutch

EarlHarbor

-3 | 14 hours ago

The challenge that they just switch from Pelle to Bam should have been a charge so there never should’ve been OT in the first place. Also, so many Heat players got hacked all game with no calls while Thompson got called for a foul every time Lopez or Rui got him on a mismatch. One on Rui, he didn’t even contest the shot and got called. Officiating was awful and I got to witness it in person

what about the blocking foul they called on Pelle Larson that they overturned to call a foul on Bam? Rui shouldve never shot free throws there, the minute the blocking foul was overturned it shouldve been a charge called on Rui and Heat ball

HeelSteamboat

5 | 14 hours ago

lol uhhh what? That was like a “take your pick” type of foul on the heat

Ghazi_Bey

-2 | 13 hours ago

the call on the floor was a blocking foul on Pelle, once you establish Pelle had position outside hte restricted area as soon as htat blocking foul is overturned thats a charge

the charge contact was before giannis and bam’s push

JimmyKanine

4 | 14 hours ago

Giannis was yanking on his jersey and had his elbow on Rui’s hip. There were like 3 fouls on the heat in the play, the refs just picked one lmao

When a play is under review the referees are able to review the play in its entirety and call fouls that they missed.

They ruled it a successful challenge because you’re right, it was a charge. However, they found Bam fouled Rui before the charge occurred. They didn’t even need to go into Giannis fouling him prior as well.

Ghazi_Bey

2 | 13 hours ago

thats what im disagreeing with tho i feel like the charge contact came before the bam push

Referee union getting their licks in for the Kawhi affair 😂 jk

Clippers / Heat Last 2 Minute Report - 4 incorrect calls in a 1 point game, all disadvantaging LAC. 3 should have been Heat TOV; 1 should have been 2 Free Throws with 5 seconds left.
