“I enjoy having big nights, but I don’t go into games with the mindset that I have to prove myself,” the 36-year-old said. “I know what I’m capable of, and as long as I stay in great condition, I’m going to have plenty of nights like this throughout the season.”
The veteran sharpshooter then pointed directly to Miami’s environment as a primary reason he chose to join the franchise.
“That’s why I was so attracted to Miami. The culture is real,” Thompson affirmed. “They really get the most out of you, especially at this stage of my career.”
