if he don’t take those dumb shots he would be shooting only 4 3points attempts per game. dont forget 80% of Lukas threes are him just chucking it and going in. Absurd. its either you would be pissed at him or absolute go crazy and nothing in between. He is like if steph curry decided to abused his shooting and just stopped running sets and just throw it into the hoop 10 seconds into the shotclock.

Nah, he needs to take those dumb shots to keep the defense honest. The imminent threat of Luka’s gonna take a random bullshit three keeps defenders on their toes.

He’s basically the hulk in basketball form

Cue Squidward meme?

Yeah that shit was driving me nuts lol. He took like 3-4 of them. BUt he’s Luka, fuck it, let it rip.

They don’t count for shooting stats anymore iiirc

Its pretty funny seeing MVP debates and people being obnoxious about their guy being the “true” MVP when we’re not even 10% done with the season

So did Jokic :)

If we being honest, Shai FC will probably get into it too eventually but its funny right now because Luka FC going to experience what we had to last season lol

Not even just the premature crowning (a ton of fans say MVP under the posts), its the constant “well actually my guy is better” comments and downplaying the other guy’s performances

had to see that and more annoying propaganda every other day because Shai dared to be a MVP contender

no joke would mute this sub if Jokic is in the MVP race this year, would literally just be propaganda and slop on this sub if Luka/Wemby/Jokic fanboys were all fighting

This might be the other reason Luka had his best shot at MVP… Jokic and Luka often appeal to the same voters so they can pull votes from each other. This is the first year where most of those voters likely choose Luka at this rate

Jokic and luka stans overlap though

I won’t be mad if Wemby won, insane player.

A proper Texas showdown.

…oh. Right :(

I agree, I of course back Luka but with how Wemby is balling, you can see how good he is lol.

You got to give it to Luka. He should have had one the year he averaged 34, 8, 9

Obv I’m a Luka fan and will root for him, but I hope he particularly wins this year. Because I can easily see Wemby shatter the consecutive MVPs record over the next 5-7 years.

Can’t count out SGA either. May not have the raw statistical dominance but if OKC wins just as many games with so many injuries, he’ll have a huge case to get his 3rd.

Hit me with the downvotes but Shai isn’t gonna just let 2 dudes have no competition this year.

Might be voter fatigued but we’re still VERY early in, should be a fun season and MVP race

luka ppg gonna go down when hes play against good teams

Agreed. The constant whining and flopping is undeniable.

a 52 point game doesnt change the fact that luka has 5+ 40 point games. Also wembys taking like ²⁴⁄₂₅ shots per game and averaging way less and is shooting at 46% from the field

Congrats but if Luka had 23 fts this sub would implode

The other dude also just dropped 12 the other day

⁵²⁄₂₄ with 8 blocks. That’s a sick line.

So how did guys like Jokic and Nash win multiple MVPs?

Right that’s why Jokic, James Harden, Steve Nash have MVPs. Because defense always dictates MVP winners.

🤡

I must be high I just saw Wemby’s 47/26/74 shooting splits

Did he actually say that ? What a guy lol , the only time I don’t like watching Luka cook is when it’s against my team (like he did a few days ago smh)

Bill Simmons, notorious laker fan

luka’s annoying to hear play but beautiful to watch play, especially this season. might be his strongest shot at mvp too

Bill only feels this way because Luka is in purple and gold 😂

And so is Bill.

Luka is the Bill Simmons of NBA players

Zoomers are cooked

Wemby makes you think you’re watching some sort of a science fiction. Whereas Luka looks like someone from the local rec completely making people look silly. Two completely different experiences but both a treat.

Dude does something you have never seen before every game

This wemby guy sounds exciting. Thanks for clueing us in!

Edit: It’s a joke, relax

He started the game 0-5. I was thinking he was gonna have his troll game against the Kings. Then he just kept making 3s. This shooting efficiency leap feels so real.

Bro I’m still not accustomed to this consistency

This is the new off night for him

i honestly expected a 23/5/6 game on some ungodly shooting splits once i saw he wasnt resting tonight but i guess he just needed to give the engine a few cranks first

Considering he normally has like 20/5/5 in the first it was horrible lol

The process on how he got to his offense (and how he played defense) just looked very sluggish in those first minutes, like he hadn’t fully woken up or something

Yeah, we know. Fuck yall.

It’s ok, he’s dropped to 7th in MVP voting as a result

He waited until the Kings fans were getting hyped up.

It was when I got home and opened up the stream, so you can all thank me

Fans started chirping

With 1st percentile in shot quality…dude’s insane

i think this is his year, prob between him vs wemby.

I’m honestly extremely happy that there are two players in the NBA who might have historic seasons. Idc if it means my player will finish second

When I see Luka goes against Harden and making shots over him, I get this feeling that Harden sees himself in Luka, but admitting that Luka is a better version.

What an oxymoron of a flair

He’s already a legend imo

OH REALLY CANT BELIEVE HE CAN DO THAT. NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE. MUST OF JUST CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. HE DEFINITELY DO THIS BEFORE THE LAKERS. IM DEFINITELY NOT CRYING RIGHT NOW.

Since Kobe. He can do this in the playoffs too.

You guys are all right. Yall look really decent. We’ll take care of Luka here.
