16 | 7 hours ago

Who? I see it’s Vit. He’s pretty replaceable

Carcrusher3

28 | 7 hours ago

Vit Krejci. Dude couldn’t hit water if he fell off a boat. But he hustled and was a warm body. Blazers are going to have to dip farther into the 2-ways since Shaedon, Ja, and now Vit are out for multiple months/the season.

Necessary_Rooster_85

19 | 7 hours ago

6’8 guy who tried hard on defense but could ball handle, pass, and eventually hit his threes. A really useful player to have off the bench for a very deep team like the Trail Blazers. Not fun to lose him.

Dusty_Negatives

2 | 7 hours ago

He’s mostly been ass. The idea of him has been better than reality so far.

Happy-Bag-3926

4 | 7 hours ago

Ehh Ja only out 4-6 weeks.

Humblerbee

11 | 7 hours ago

Optimistically, hammies are notoriously lingering injuries, Scoot last season missed 51 games due to his hamstring injury.

Pizzadontdie

7 | 7 hours ago

Reevaluated in 4-6. We’ve seen with AG and Scoot last season, hamstring can take much longer

cooldiptera

11 | 7 hours ago

I said this above, but he’s a solid bench player. Youngblood, Potter, and Carlson have looked like below average bench players.

Vit has size, serviceable defense, and does a little bit of everything — rebounding, playmaking. Not a liability, even when his three isn’t falling.

When Youngblood got put on the floor tonight, the Suns scored 6 points in a row on him and Nori immediately subbed him out.

Stupid_Flexy_Sanders

4 | 6 hours ago

Sidy will get a good bump in minutes and I think he can handle it. We likely also call up Kent as well because he as actual wing size.

Forbidden_Donut503

1 | 5 hours ago

Yeah the answer is definitely Sidy getting all of Vit’s minutes at least at first. Perhaps Nori and crew can coach up Youngblood a little bit to not get obliterated on D like tonight but I trust Sidy wholeheartedly with his minutes.

nerdpulse

1 | 7 hours ago

Might actually be a net positive if they give those minutes to Sidy or Potter, Vit has been ass

ElkDrinkCrack

5 | 7 hours ago

Sidy has been getting minutes and they’ve been awesome.

nerdpulse

1 | 7 hours ago

Yeah, give him more is what I was saying. Dude has been defending like they owe him money

coffeetalkcafe

148 | 7 hours ago

Credits to Micah Nori as well. Doing a great job as the new head coach

Head_Improvement5317

50 | 7 hours ago

It’s so nice having a coach who is A) not a criminal and B) capable of designing an ATO

FartsbinRonshireIII

15 | 6 hours ago

And he does so much more than that. He’s COTY - callin it now.

north01

8 | 6 hours ago

I hope that’s enough to get a 2nd year from El Cheapo

bigtimehater1969

1 | 5 hours ago

The worse part of the Portland doing so well is that there’s gonna be a bunch of people unironically calling El Cheapo a genius and attributing all the success to him.

bupkizz

1 | 5 hours ago

He’s going to put the second year on layaway

IsThisMe8

1 | 5 hours ago

Not a criminal is hilarious

Crimdal

15 | 6 hours ago

Splitter was a good floor raiser but the amount of in game coaching Nori is doing with Scoot through seven games feels like more than Splitter and Billups did combined. Scoot is trying to find a way to stay in the league by becoming a point of attack defender and catch and shoot threat, and personally I’m all for it.

Kyro_Official_

112 | 7 hours ago

Just like we all expected, 2 of the best teams in the league are portland and memphis

SubduedChaos

24 | 7 hours ago

I say this as a Memphis fan but we have looked ROUGH the last two games. I dont think we are contenders yet.

pollinium

29 | 7 hours ago

???? Duh?? You say “not yet” like people expected this team made up of Jerami Grant and 24 players on rookie contracts were going to be world beaters

Lots to be excited about but you cannot be coming down disappointed that you’re not a contender lol

bigtimehater1969

1 | 5 hours ago

That’s a very emphatic “duh” from a Timberwolves fan lmao

Glittering-Bench7945

Please give Donovan Clingan his flowers. He’s been a HUGE part of the blazers success

north01

7 | 6 hours ago

So good to see him rolling hard and attacking the rim

BlazerBeav

10 | 6 hours ago

Clingan looks much improved - if he continues like this, he pushes us into a very good team.

MrRightnow83

1 | 5 hours ago

Clingan or Kessler. Are they similar players, who looks better rn?

legend023

156 | 7 hours ago

I’ll admit it, I was dead wrong about this team. I thought the bad vibes in the offseason and the confusing fit with adding Ja would cause them to regress.

Damian Lillard has hardly lost a step, and their depth is healthy and impressive.

st_huck

21 | 7 hours ago

Im just impressed with how cool and calm Dame is. Not forcing anything, not trying to prove anything. The man is crusing to his 20-25 points per night

letsbereasonable123

56 | 7 hours ago

Just got a little less healthy. Vit Krejci fractured his leg tonight on top of Ja’s hamstring and Shae’s meniscus surgery. Chris Youngblood is about to move into the rotation.

nerdpulse

45 | 7 hours ago

Let’s be honest though he was brought in as a sharpshooter and has been a dullshooter…. ²⁄₁₁ from 3 on the season.

Hope he recovers quickly but his loss isn’t going to affect the team much

cooldiptera

30 | 7 hours ago

He has size, serviceable defense, and does a little bit of everything — rebounding, playmaking. Not a liability, even when his three isn’t falling.

When Youngblood got put on the floor tonight, the Suns scored 6 points in a row on him and Nori immediately subbed him out. Don’t discount the importance of competent, if not flashy, deeper bench players.

USSCensorShip

5 | 6 hours ago

It mostly will mean more minutes for Sidy Cissoko - who is more than capable of being that solid backup wing

Leroy--Brown

5 | 6 hours ago

Krejci isn’t playing his role as a sharpshooter buttttt….. He’s smart when he has the ball. Protects it well, no turnovers. Good passes. A couple assists. Strong defender. He isn’t a liability

Yougblood looked good the other night, I hope he keeps it up!

BaximusPrime

5 | 7 hours ago

He could guard lengthy wings, find good outlet passes….his ability to consistently knock down open shots was terrible I agree with ya there.

quesopa_mifren

2 | 6 hours ago

His shot was terrible but he’s 6’ 8” and played pretty good defense and could pass

TB_016

14 | 7 hours ago

Vibes around ownership are still bad and the quality of the broadcast has gone from almost national level to poor and sloppy. In arena stuff took a hit as well. Everything on court has been fantastic though.

RLL1977

8 | 7 hours ago

The “ bad vibes “ were definitely more fan based than anything

Purplazure

4 | 7 hours ago

What’s that even referring to, the team moving?

franchissimo

16 | 7 hours ago

Yes. I would say the bad vibes are entirely Dundon though.

RLL1977

2 | 7 hours ago

New ownership, team moving, people overreacting to every little thing

chimi_hendrix

8 | 6 hours ago

Wouldn’t call it fans. Portland is rotten with overgrown indoor children who say “sportsball” and think that losing a 55 year old franchise will magically make their rent go down

swamp_foxx

12 | 6 hours ago

Portlanders who don’t care for basketball have no idea how important this franchise is to our area unfortunately.

xychosis

Idk if you end up staying #1 but this is actually genuinely a playoff team. Might struggle a little against teams with more postseason experience than the younger non-Dame parts of your core, but you guys have a surprisingly well-rounded roster. It’s legitimately nice to see. Hopefully Ja gets healthy and builds more chemistry with this roster. Vibes seem great.

It was 50 years ago when we met in the finals.

Stupid_Flexy_Sanders

14 | 6 hours ago

Jrue and Timelord have a little playoff experience I’d say.

Bulbous-Bouffant

1 | 5 hours ago

Jrue, Timelord, Dame, and Ja. Not to mention our young guys got some playoff experience last season. I genuinely don’t see us having a problem, as long as we stay healthy.

Somewhere the Synthetic Sports boys are lovin’ it.

Necessary_Rooster_85

11 | 7 hours ago

Not having Sharpe, Krejci and Ja Morant is not ideal but they are still such a deep team that they still have Jrue Holliday and Robert Williams coming off the bench

Impossible-Group8553

Clingan has been amazing from what I’ve seen. I remember first year when he had that knee brace and could barely move I was worried he’d be done for but he moves really well now, got great hands and good decision making too.

Yes that’s the one haha

The Portland Trail Blazers are now the #1 seed in the West
