That three was so nonchalant lmao
He thought he could pull that shit in the face of nba finals mvp Jaylen brown 😂
this shit brought me back when cade got his welcome to NBA moment from AD who blocked his 3 pt shot then he got his own miss, decides to drive against AD then got blocked again.
Awful decision
Fr like i guess nice block, but really poor shot selection. Brain fart
Someone boutta say that analytics prove that this wasn’t actually a block, but rather a coincidence
“Any defender could’ve done that..”
“The way Jaylen blocked it is the worst way to make a block.”
Or maybe they’ll say one block doesn’t make someone good or bad defensively? You know, like people with common sense?
They say that abt every positive defensive play he makes. At some point it isn’t just one block, or one steal, or one good defensive possession. At some point he’s just a good defender
He’s a good on ball defender and a bad off ball defender. Everyone knows this.
He’s not the strongest off-ball defender, but I don’t understand why that has to be brought up constantly. Every time someone tries to praise him for his strengths, they’re quickly followed up by people discussing his flaws. I’ve never seen that happen with another player who’s as great as he is
Take THAT for data!
damn you FIZDALE
that was a great play by brown not even mad
It was a good play by Brown and horrible play by Cade.
eh. he’s hit those often, i don’t really hate it i trust him
he telegraphed that 3 5 steps back
He telegraphed it and took like 4 seconds to shoot
First time in LeBrons entire career where he doesnt have to be “that guy”, crazy that it took until 41 for it to happen but damn man it’s good to see.
Yeah totally. Definitely had 0 help in Miami.
He means that bron doesn’t have to be the best player on the team for them to contend dumbass.
Who is the best player on the team because it sure as shit wasn’t Bosh or Wade. He’s had plenty of help over his career. I never said he didn’t. He had Kyrie and love in Cleveland as well. He’s played with Luka and AD in LA. What I’m saying is this is the first time in his career he doesn’t have to be the best player on the team to win games.
To be fair, didnt last yesr until the playoffs. The main Lakers narrative last yesr was that he was getting more comfortable with being the 3rd option. Probably helped his mental adjustment for this year
There’s a difference between option and actual talent. LeBron is still better than Reaves today.
are you 12 years old?
I know that shit was for sure going in too lmao
Nah it wasn’t a Duncan shot so we had a chance
Boneheaded play by Cade. Having said that, if there’s ever a time to practise being a hero (which Cade definitely could be capable of being), its in early November in like the 8th or 9th game of the season. So.. can chalk this up more to being bum luck (and a great block) rather than boneheaded at this point.
Shut down our comeback too. Sucks but we deserved the loss
Cade you’re 1⁄9 on threes that shit was not going in
literally never said anything bad about this dude in my life
He’s no PG…
Ya well supposedly brown is the final domino that led Lebron to come to the 76ers. I haven’t seen anyone break down why bron came because of brown but not PG. and I don’t know why I’ve decided to ask this question out loud here at this moment in this reply.
PG is not reliable, he missed half of his two 76ers seasons. PG still has great hands and is great defensively but is also not as much of a dirty work guy. LeBron wants to be a fourth option and sometimes a third option, and doesn’t want to have to dive for loose balls.
Okay. Yeah makes sense. Brown is sturdy. I don’t remember him missing much time ever.
Bron was probably already worried about Embiid staying healthy and having to worry about PG’s health would make it an even bigger gamble.
Makes a lot of sense.Thanks
Not a great defensive player though!
Who ever said that? Jaylen Brown clamped Luka in the finals. That was a huge reason why he won FMVP 🏅
ive seen people write that brown was below average defender…
I’ve seen it here too. He’s also clutch af and I don’t think people notice that
He’s certainly above average but the narrative he tried to push of being the “best 2 way player in the league” was so far from the truth which is why people criticize his defense
The analytic nerds were saying off ball defense. I have no clue if that was true on Celtics but I definitely don’t see it so far this year
It’s a lot harder to notice, that’s why the numbers are useful.
When someone cuts backdoor for an easy layup everyone doesn’t immediately analyze whose fault it was.
Oh man don’t make me go through all those comments from the off season, trying to convince us that JB is a negative defender and even more negative basketball player.
get those internet points
Who ever said that?
Idiots
See: this entire offseason
Advanced stats
Clamped isn’t the right word. He made Luka battle for every point and assist. But he still avg 29/8/5 lol.
on 25 shots lol
Which is far below his average output and efficiency. 🗜️’ed
i wish whenever points get brought up, they also include fgm/fga.
Volume.
Nobody else could do shit lol. Luka was fucking gassed trying to carry that team.
luka shot 50% against brown
According to Chris Forsberg:
Luka Doncic when defended by Jaylen Brown in the NBA Finals:
154.4 possessions32:04 matchup time21 PTS9-22 FG (40.9%)2-8 3PT (25.0%)5 TO2 Shooting Fouls
It was the most matchup time logged by a Celtics player vs an opponent in any round of the postseason.
When people say that I think they’re talking about his off-ball defense (which can be pretty bad) and awareness. He’s a good one-on-one defender for sure.
Isn’t the dig against him that he’s bad off ball? That wouldn’t apply here.
Yes because one block makes him a great defender. His off ball defense is bad
Whether he is or isn’t it has nothing to do with one play in the 8th game of the season lmao. Comments like this are so dumb.
Its so weird watching all these celtics haters just make up things then getting made pretending the celtics organization said those things…
Looking like a prime Derrick White
Well timed.
Dammit.
Refs did all they could to keep the Pistons within range all night. Fuck the East, go Sixers!
I mean some of our guys were missing easy layups. VJ made some crucial turnovers from great passes as well.
lol idk about that
If the sixers made wide open layups and the refs didn’t give Detroit so many free points in the 4th this would’ve been a 30 pt blowout
I agree on the missed layups but I didn’t see any egregious calls
He is a sixers fan.. he watches Embiid/Maxey/Nurse Cry after every play and assumes his team is getting screwed every play..
Seriously, that was your takeaway?
Like really?
Braindead take
cade i was mvp campaigning for you so hard im lost for words my king
slowest pull-up ever
Not bad for the 7th best player on the Celtics last year
When you accidentally press square type shot..
Saved the game
Awesome game from JB today
Why aren’t the Pistons fouling here?
I didn’t realize it got this close the 6ers were leading but when I was checking the score
Blocking 3s is hard af. Great play.
Lackadaisical ass pull up
