People definitely talked about Giannis brothers.

Probably doesn’t know they exist and found out about Bronny today

Yea what lol his brothers get roasted

Giannis’ brothers didn’t stay in Milwaukee

Probebly because they are no longer in the NBA. Theu were talked about plenty.

Hey, those 8 points Blevins scored were very important in showing just how ass the 21-22 Lakers were!

Blevgod

Being a nepobaby doesn’t always mean some NBA player dad forced his son onto a team at the expense of someone better than him that had no pedigree.

It’s more about the connections and resources and access growing up. Let’s not pretend the Chino Hills kids are on the same level of access/resources/connections. A 13 year old who has a dedicated dietician, strength coach, skill coach, a chauffeur to games, high end gyms to practice in or even their own home court, current and ex NBA players to call up to pick their brains, etc is coming up with the same opportunity as others. Maybe they would have been as good with less, who knows, but I think most rightly assume it’s a huge advantage.

You can both be a nepobaby and one of the greatest of all time.

Obviously Steph and Kobe are some of the greatest of all time but I’m not gonna sit here and pretend they didn’t have a huge leg up in resources at the same time.

You don’t really mean that do you?

What he says is dumb as shit though, the one who he supposedly could have “taken the job from” could have washed out of the D League for all he knows

Kwame brown played for 12 years in the nba. Bronny will be lucky to get another year after this

Kwame was an actual nba player. Not a good one, not even an average one- he was a below average player, but he was an actual player. Bronny is not, and never will be. I cannot believe we’re still having this discussion after the guy has shown absolutely nothing that makes him interesting or worth discussing

Don’t forget, after Jordan he went to the Lakers with Kobe.

He never had the chance to recover.

Plus, if arenas ain’t lying, one of the issues with kwame was he didn’t think he needed hard work to improve on his game.

Don’t forget Stephen a smith using similar words to describe kwame when he was a pundit

Never had the makings of a varsity athlete

Kwame Brown prolly thinks the Playstation 3 controller is too big lol

Dude has such small hands that ee cummings wrote a poem about him.

Yes. Look at Javale McGee and D’Angelo Russell, they’ve made tons of NBA money and are still playing in China. If you truly love the game, you’re playing wherever you can, you upend your life.

Not in the EuroLeague, but there are plenty of weaker European championships and teams. I can assure you that the marketibility by itself is worth it for a British, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Kosovan, or Israeli team to sign him.

Ur being super normal about this

Thanasis was 51st. Kostas was 60th.Bronny was 55th

The 52nd pick after thanasis became a euro league mvp.

There literally was no one drafted after Kostas and Alex went undrafted.

There were only 3 picks after bronny.

It’s not hard to understand that the final 5-10 picks are crapshoots.

Sir, this is a Wendys

I don’t even think Kwame deserved the level of backlash he got

He did

Kwame wasn’t remotely ready for the NBA himself. There was a bit in Boys Among Men (fantastic book) that recounted Doug Collins getting on his case and sending him off to work with Duane Ferrell - on one of those days, Ferrell learned that their no. 1 draft pick had never played man to man defense before. To quote Brown, he’d only been told “… to stand in the middle and put my hands up and play zone”.

He eventually learned and became a real solid defensive player but those early years? Totally lost.

I still remember Kwame fucking up the first few touches he get and then refusing to go up strong and finish on late games because he was scared of fucking shit up during the Smush era.

Nah lots of parents bought Bronny jerseys for their kids (they already have LeBron jerseys themselves)

I mean I can definitely see a case of father son buying it

What’s wrong with that? I fail to see how that’s a character flaw or means someone is an idiot…

Holding that opinion makes me think that of you though.

What a weird comment

People often forget the business side of things

So JJ is willing to lose games to give lebron a favor?

it would just be Tyson chandler, who was drafted 2nd

But it is an imaginary player in this scenario… if this hypothetical person was an actual “top prospect” they would just be signed at some point or drafted the following year. It being a nepo pick doesn’t mean a spot was lost by default, there are other ways to get guys than a 50 something pick in the draft

Well, he could have been picked up as an undrafted player, if he was that talented. Look at Austin Reeves.

But Daddy no longer on the team. Why’s he still getting minutes if he doesnt deserve them?

I’d hope the 1st overall pick would do more with his minutes than a late 2nd round pick

To be also fair, he was the first overall pick so his minutes were expected

Most 55th picks don’t even get minutes

comments like yours are hilarious bro

Kwame can’t talk about anybody being wimps when he’s one of the biggest bust ever lol

Have you ever watched him play?Plus rent is expensive these days, nothing wrong with living with parents.

Yeah with all the investment. You think a small guard with his prosuction is still in the league without his connections? Joke to justify it.

Zeke Nnaji is taking someone’s spot right now and I’m mad about it. Didn’t even have famous parents, I’m so fucking mad.

So? Who is he taking a spot away from? Let’s hear it. He was picked 55. 3 guys got drafted after him. Anyone that didn’t get drafted could’ve signed as an Undrafted free agent if they wanted too

He’s not filling a roster spot for anyone who would actually do better, tbf.

Bronny has actually performed better than quite a few who went in the draft before him.

He’s overperforming compared to the huge majority of 55th overall picks..

If he weren’t Lebron’s son he wouldn’t have been drafted let alone play a single minute in the G league or anywhere else lol

That’s the point of why anyone even has a problem with any of this. The other is Lakers fans and Lebron fans constantly acting like he was ever deserving of his spot or minutes.

Dude didn’t even start in college like wtf are we talking about here? He’s not and never has been an NBA player let alone a professional level player.

As long as the checks keep coming, why not?

Yeah guys who make dozens of millions of dollars playing basketball? lol.

Always cracks me up.
