This is why I posted his pullup jumper earlier, I guess not many realized it.
Man, I love that when Lebron drives you can clearly see that he has 2000’s era travel rules in mind instead of 2026 ones
You can’t teach an old LeDog new tricks
Feels like just yesterday we were debating whether LeBron’s crab dribble was legal
I know, don’t tell me because I’ll feel old but I remember when skip 2 used to be shamed for traveling lol
the funniest part is haters used to say LeBron always traveled in the late 2000s to early 2010s lol.
shows how much the game has evolved
More like devolved
I’ve never thought about that. That’s so interesting
thats a good point. gather and steps are on point.
I’m more impressed with his angling. I notice most people don’t even contest because the ball is always covered with his wide ass shoulders.
You reach, I teach. It’s crazy he can move that fast at 41, and he’s not a small guy either.
Bro thank for that. He’s literally from an era that doesn’t exist anymore in any field.
No 80s born player in any sports, not at this level showin us how it was. Bron grew up in the bullyball era
No 80s born player in any sports, not at this level showin us how it was
Brother there are still quite a few players born in the 80s playing at high levels. 10 different NBA players born in the 80s still active, including Durant and Steph. I think 15 different active NFL players born in the 80s. Stafford coming off an MVP season, Cam Heyward still doing it at a high level, Aaron Rodgers and Calais Campbell a little washed but still valuable players.
djokovic in tennis is also an 80s kid
Ronaldo and messi too
Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby in the NHL, born between 1985-87.
Lionel Messi was also the best player at the most important sports tournament of all time… just this summer at 39 and he was born in 1987
Dunno man all of them are half coocked besides steph and kd. My man Novak is almost done too
yuno ball
Thanks lol, only took me about 35 years of watching before I was semi competent at understanding the sport lol. Idk how new fans get into it tbh, everything is so detailed and evolved now. Basketball is truly a wonder of the world
Bro youre so right. Im not going to unsee that
I don’t know the difference, can you explain?
Hand placement is the obvious, rarely goes under the ball to the extent most players do, but he also rarely takes a large slow gather step like most do today, it’s always a very quick one if he takes one at all
He also never really developed the euro step into his game. Not that he hasn’t used it on occasion. I don’t think he’s nimble enough for it be more effective these his downhill speed and power on most occasions. That huge gather step is a great set up for a euro step, he doesn’t need it. Just shoulder down ball low go up strong.
He doesn’t euro step because he likes making initial contact before going up for an easier layup, which is kind of the opposite of what the euro step is for.
Don’t need to put yourself off balance on a euro when you’re the strongest and most athletic player ever lol
This deserves its own post
He doesn’t look like he’s taking four steps. No gather basically.
Such a great point and now I can’t unsee it
I am 32 and it gives me too much anxiety to not have my hand on the ball for as long as I legally can nowadays.
Bron’s like a human time capsule in the NBA. I love watching him get to work in the post and pulling out old head moves that no one does anymore.
How nice is real basketball when it’s played as real basketball. Appreciate it more
Guys, honestly, LeBron still looks really good to me. Is it that crazy to think he could play another two or three years? Maybe not three, but he could play another two, couldn’t he?
Probably five. That court sense gonna keep him on the floor longer.
Dude looked spry in that highlight.
He’s definitely the master at picking his spots and maximize energy usage
Hes gunna finish the contract with Philly then after next year he will announce his farewell tour and sign with (insert speculation) for his last year.
Cleveland
New Orleans makes more sense clearly
Laissez les Bron temps rouler
No, not at all. It completely depends on if he can avoid injuries though. Anything other than a very mild injury probably sends him off an athletic cliff. The ankle in 2021 (or was it 2022?) really slowed him down, he wouldn’t be able to come back from anything like that at this point.
For a min contract he is gonna be worth it for at least 3 imo. Like he could get A LOT worse and still be worth 4 mil. I dont think he will, cuz if he gets noticeably worse I think he calls it, but I’m pretty confident he COULD
You just saw a guy take his guy at the top of the key and drive AND finish around him, I don’t see any part of that play that says anything less than 5 healthy years
We’re getting closer and closer to the Lebron Nike Poolside commercial with old LeBron. That was 20 years ago.
16,000 is crazy. I don’t think I’ve farted 16,000 times and I fart A LOT.
Not with that attitude.
Get this man beans, stat!
That’s less than 3 farts per day for the last 16 years. Literally rookie numbers bro.
Sorry folks, had to run the numbers on this one. That’s 2 farts a day for a 22 year old man. You’re telling me you don’t fart twice a day?
What if they are a 12 y/o kid?
His punctuation is too good.
keep going king
try my wife’s cooking
Ok ill try your wife.
I have
This man is the LeBron James of farts
You’ll get there eventually, I believe in you.
If the stories on here are to be believed then so does Bron
Why is his handle kinda good this year
Has LeBron not always had pretty good handles for like his entire career? Nothing flashy but he’s 6 foot 9 and can drive to the rim from anywhere
Honestly its just got progressively better since he moved to LA presumably because he knew he wouldnt be able to beat people off pure speed and strength anymore.
I think functionally, he may have the best handles of anyone 6’8 and up, that I’ve seen. His handle is very underrated. The only other comp I can see is Tmac
PG has a great handle. It’s the only way he can get past guys now.
It was pretty poor the past 2 seasons, looks much better now
He was pretty bad last year until post asb
the sciatica handles were rough in december and january
It was the first season ever where he didn’t have a training camp or preseason or any real time on the floor till December
Phil Handy is an assistant for the 76ers who’s worked with the Lakers. He’s all about ball handling.
Last name checks out
yeah he changed his last name to let the world know
He’s working with the most space I’ve ever seen him have. The dude drew 3⁄5 or more of the defense to him for 20+ seasons.
Phil Handy is back with him
Im like 99% certain he was on his ass about that, he really let it go these last couple of years
In these first few games, there’s been a noticeable improvement compared to last season, when he was fumbling the ball every time he took more than two dribbles.
He is having fun
Tampa Bay Tom Brady vibes 😎
This year?
It was pretty terrible last year
I think he’s more in tune with the speed he’s at now.
Like post 2021 injury he from time to time goes too fast than what his body can actually do, even has a ton of bad passes that he used to not mistakenly do
He’s back with Phil
Yeah.. every time he scores a basket he’s setting a record.
Sound like a broken record every time he break a record
I don’t even like bron, but he has a right to be this way
And it was a layup. How fitting.
imagine getting cooked by a 42 year year old bald dude by his off hand
I mean, I hear there are sites for that if that’s what you’re into.
Link?
I was literally just rewatching him pass Kareem
Whats nuts is how far ahead of Kareem he is now. I still remember when people were talking about how impossible even for LeBron it would be. Whats crazy is he might have another year or two left in him. Unbreakable record. Even a guy like Luka who has the scoring capability couldn’t dream of having the durability Lebron does. Luka has never even played more than 75 games in a season. LeBron managed that (and more) as an old man.
I have a clear memory of a reddit post on the maths of him passing Kareem when he was 30. No one thought he was gonna do it, insane he’s thousands clear now.
FUCK he was 30 11 years ago? Fuck i’m getting old.
Man is the 🐐and I’m a Kobe fan
Remember when we were doing math to see what the perfect scenario would be for him could pass Kareem before his retires? Looong time now
He and Bronny combine for more than the Steph and Dell.
I bet his name has been said more times than anyone in sports history
Lebraun Jaymes
Maybe Ali and Messi, but Bron is definitely up there.
Looking from a sporting perspective alone there’s absolutely no way, seeing that LeBron played about 500 matches more than Messi, has been around longer, and a basketball game gives way more chances to say a name than a football match. Messi is the bigger sports person globally yes, but I don’t think that compensates it
A football match is 90+ extra time minutes long(double that of an nba match) and Messi averages about 70-100 touches per game, I don’t know about that boss.
You don’t understand man, a Turkish commentary of Barcelona would have Messi said a thousand times
https://youtu.be/AlnHNi0hdO0?is=cxGo0qoJ7KTfbgDr
ANKARA MESSI ANKARA MESSI ANKARA MESSI
The LeBron James vine kid definitely helped in making that happen.
Probably the only player that will reach this mark😂👑
I remember when weirdos on the internet (not that many, but they existed) were moving the goalpost after he claimed the all-time scoring record, saying “but Kareem has the most FGM”. 😂
A lot of buckets for a man’s 2nd nature
Absolutely incredible athlete.
LeFt Hand
Legoat
Dorris Burke is so fucking annoying.
Great help defense lmao
And I’m sure he’s had a lot of those against us, dating back to both times with Cleveland. 🤦♀️
Just a fucking godly number.
Every fg he’s made for quite some time has been a first
Not bad kid
John Collins nephew af here
