Lebron famous statline was 27/7/7 but right now Luka has a staline of 38/8/8. Out of this world. I know it wont last but its still nice to see.
Don’t think it will last either. He will probably go to 40/8/8
Luka is having a legendary run, but comparing a current hot streak to LeBron’s career-spanning consistency isn’t the same.
Luka is averaging 29/8/8 too for his career.
Lebron for half of his career and almost all his prime played in deadball era tho, in 2010 league pts avarage was 99.6 now it is 113.4 so it is not the same
But in those days starters used to play 38-42 mpg now they are around 32-36.
LeBron 20+ years
And 3 rings to show for it.
4 bro
You forgot 1 ring & 4 mvps & 22 all-nba & 23 all-star selection (and 4 fmvps)
To be fair he won his first at 27 years old.
Probably LeBron stat line between started playing in the stat inflation era
Can everyone just wait until we’re not judging a 5 Game run? The season has 82 games.. Like come on
Sure but when harden was giving almost 40 a night, guys said the same thing. He regressed a bit but still ended with a ridiculous 36 a game for the season. Let people have fun rather than being a killjoy.
Are you okay?
Stop riding Lebron’s dick
Anyone ever had 13/3/7
If you know you know
Leet
Look at Luka’s career statline
29.3-8.5-8.2 insane
29/8/8
29/9/8 actually. .5 rounds up not down
Isn’t 888 lucky or something.
It’s Luka.
I’m not saying it tracks that this current iteration of the Lakers would love the number eight…
Luka has a usage rate LeBron has never even come close to…
Yeah Luka’s CAREER usage % is 35.9%
LeBron doesn’t have a single SEASON even really that close to it, his highest usage % for a season is 33.8%.
Combined with how much he dribbles and dictates basically every possesion he’s out there for, this is ball dominance to the 100th percentile.
Luka is a great player but let’s be honest, he can not maintain this level of play over 82 games.
I mean he put up 33/9/8 in 22-23, 34/9/10 in 23-24 and 34/8/8 last year. It’s not remotely out of the question that he averages close to 38/8/8. Do people not realize how good Luka Doncic is?
Especially with how it looks like his Free Throw % has improved significantly over those two years
LOL, why not? If he averaged 34/10/9, why is 38/8/8 so ridiculous? Plus, he’s entering his peak years. If Harden averaged 36/7/6, why is Luka’s stat line so ‘ridiculous’ and unimaginable?
Didn’t know that Luka averaged a triple double over a season. I thought Jokic and Westbrook were the only players in the modern era to do so.
That was my mistake, it was only 9.2 rpg, I changed it. Also all those stats are rounded to the nearest whole numbers
Because he didn’t but was real close, it was 34/9/10.
‘this fuckery won’t go on for much longer’ you might add
If he somehow did maintain these numbers for a whole 82 games that has to be the best regular single season ever right? Definitely not maintainable, but i’m all for appreciating greatness as it happens.
Wilt averaged 50.4, 25 rebounds and 2.4 assists in a season once and didn’t win MVP
I actually forgot about wilt chamberlain, i’m retiring from thinking about basketball from here on out.
Wilt’s stats sound like a created played on 2K honestly can you even imagine a player averaging 40 now? Let alone 50? He played 80 games too and averaged 48.5 minutes a game
pftt… 2.4assists… he couldn’t have passed around the ball a bit more?
Wilts 50 ppg season isn’t as impressive as you think. If you adjust the pace of the 60s for the pace of the modern game and dropped his minutes to 36 per game, Wilts stat line would have been 28 and 16. Still obviously ridiculously impressive that he played 48 mpg, but that season as a whole is not as ridiculous as the raw numbers suggest.
Why would you do that? You compare each player in the era they played in
I’d still take Jordan’s 37-5-4 with 3 steals and 1.5bpg or his 35-5-6 with 3 steals season where he won mvp and dpoy
Ever? There is a season Wilt averaged like 50
With 25.7 rebounds per game.
Actually insane.
Yeah, he has never average 34/9/10 in a season
Um yes he has… he averaged exactly that in 23-24. He also put up 33/9/8 in 22-23 and put up 34/8/8 last year….Its a pretty easy fact to verify with a 5 second google search.
34/9/10 in 2024…
Everyone keeps saying that he cant maintain it and I would be inclinded to agree, but.. Any time he does a 38/8/8 statline it feels much more “average Luka night” than when he does a “27/7/7” stinker. This is not a recency bias - this is what Luka did to my brain over the years of playing outside of this world.
People keep forgetting that he averaged 34/10/9 for SEASON while being out of shape.. 3 years ago! Now he is in best shape ever and 3 years more mature and with a team built around him.
All the while he’s almost shooting 50/40/90… Definitely not maintainable but insane, nonetheless.
Waiting for 49/9/9 and 100/10/10 by this magic.
The only stat you need
Harden Westbrook and Jokic have all had better numbers over this short a sample sizes.
LeBron’s stat line is impressive because it was seasons long not 6 games.
Luka is great but can we not compare his hot streak to entire season stats
Lukas career statline is 28-8-8 apparently
29.3-8.5-8.2 regular season30.9-9.2-7.8 playoffs
Ok cool but op wasnt talking about his career he was using his hot start to the season and comparing it to LeBron’s career.
28/8/8 is better sure but it’s also not oh my goodness he is so much better than LeBron like his title is implying.
I feel like using raw box slashlines to make cross-era comparisons is very flawed. It’s just much easier to accumulate stats right now for a star player than ever before, because otherwise 38 year old 2023 LeBron > 28 year old 2013 LeBron.
I will say that I do think if 2009-2013 LeBron played in today with all the modern spacing and tactics, he’s probably giving you along a number of 30/8/8 on 66+ TS% while having DPOY-level impact on the other end, based off era-adjusted numbers where he was scoring 31.2 inflation adjusted PTS/75 possessions while being +7.2% above league average true shooting (rTS%) during that time period.
The absolute delusion , LeBron hasn’t played real defense in 10+ years , he’s the 4th option on his team …. Stop it !!!!
Is he not playing real defense this year?
LeBron hasn’t played real defense in 10+ years Saying something as dumb as that and talking about delusion, hilaious
LeBron hasn’t played consistent D in the regular season since he was still in Miami, LeCoast became a meme for a reason and it’s also why he hasn’t won MVP since 2013
You mfs are actually slow , you’re saying lebrons been playing great defense the past ten years ? You’re literally high asf and completely delusional. You meat riders are insane , glazing a grown man all day everyday, got his s so deep it’s in your stomach , he been garbage at defense and his defense overall is completely overrated , mf had one good year 13 years ago and yall been hanging onto that ever since. Meat riding weirdos
He played defense up until 2021 regularly, then started doing it in spurts post that. So he’s been ‘not playing defense’ for five years at most, and one good year 13 years ago? I’m almost sad I engaged in the ragebait
You mfs are actually slow , you’re saying lebrons been playing terrible defense the past ten years ? You’re literally high asf and completely delusional. You haters are insane , hating a grown man all day everyday, hater weirdos
clown…
you should watch a game sometimes
Parakeet that doesn’t watch the games.
