Was this before or after Lakers beat them?

To me the wild thing is people on here acting like he is glazed and defended by everybody.

I can not think of another player who was getting blame because he was scoring too much too early lmao

Like there isn’t a top player rn that is more hated.

We’re pretending Luka is just a random target of the media now ?

People hate Luka because of his own whiny ass behavior, which he is fully in control of.

He’s obviously very good….. but it’s also very fuckin obvious why he has so many haters and it’s literally because that’s how he chooses to act?

He could immediately stop doing all that shit with no ill effects to his game. Probably would improve his game. Yet he continues to elevate his whining every year somehow.

It’s also important to note that NBA players don’t watch the NBA and are just as prone to media narratives as fans, unless you value Shaq’s opinions because he’s a hall of famer

Really goes to show how much wining he does if so many fans don’t like him, while also being so great at the game

That is what people who use stats to compare players they never watched live say.

Well, there’s a rookie on the Warriors that apparently lost all respect for Luka lmao

Because the quantities tend to change pretty drastically over time. Basketball is a lot different today compared to 30-40 years ago

LeBron has the most points. That means he’s the best scorer right? it’s literally a verifiable fact.

Or is it Jordan, who is tied for the highest PPG for a career and with a record 10 scoring titles. Does that mean he’s the best scorer instead? it’s literally a verifiable fact.

Luka is a generational offensive talent, but saying he’s the best scorer because scoring is quantitative and a verifiable fact doesn’t work in a subjective discussion.

KD could but not with this volume, maybe if he wanted he could have these stretches, but then teams would adjust their coverages and his lack of playmaking would make his life harder

Pretty good at making babies as well

Didn’t play the same level of competition though so it’s hard to say

Dude is neither a three level scorer nor played against good opposition. You can’t be the greatest scorer all time if basketball had evolved so much since you played

he isn’t fun to watch.. doesnt mean he isn’t still a great scorer.

for real lmao this is the third one in the last 24 hours

Hi, Bill Simmons !

This guy knows more than Giannis btw.

i mean your 2 points in your own comment are kinda the explanation for your own concerns lol. taking more 3s and driving less in regular season makes him less likely to pick up a random injury running into the paint constantly, which increases the likelihood he stays healthy for playoffs.

unless what you are saying you want him to drive to the paint way more and also see him healthy in the playoffs at the same time. takes a special kind of iron man to manage that through an 82 game season.

we also know he elevates in the playoffs rather than dropping off unless hes playing hurt. even when hurt the main issue is that he then is disabled on defence and his first step is slower. the ideal for luka is to just get to the playoffs healthy and he will perform regardless.

except Luka draws just as many fouls in the playoffs as he does in the regular season. His game is predicated on playoffs, he’s creating an advantage the defender tries to take away by fouling.

Drawing fouls is part of the game for every top player in the game. Especially premier guards in the game, they literally aren’t premier guards unless are good at foul baiting.

Finals MVP for last 10 years:- Jalen Brunson: 6.8 FTs/game- SGA: 9.4- Jaylen Brown: 5.4 (low)- Jokic: 7.0- Curry: 5.9 (low)- Giannis: 9.8- Lebron: 7.1- Kawhi: 9.1- KD: 7.2

Luka during his finals run: 7.0 FTs.

He’s like 0.5 point away from leading all time in ppg

Can’t wait to hear your professional opinion on this matter
