Including tonight’s game Luka is averaging 5.8 threes on 13.5 attempts per game.

It’s only been 6 games, so small sample size etc etc, but…

Steph career high 3P per was:

2021 - 5.3

2016 - 5.1

2019 - 5.1

Highest 3PA per game:

Harden 13.2 (2019)

Curry 12.7 (2021)

Harden 12.4 (2020)

What happened to his free throw? Night and day. And defense? Holeefuk. Luka had a helluva make over this off season

pokerawz | LAL

I know people will clown him for the Steph ankle breaker but his defense has been actually good this season so far.

Firm_Mode_5868

24 | 5 hours ago

Freethrow is just sample size variance so far. It’s not like he didn’t have a 7~ game sample size shooting around 88% last season, things just avg out over 82 games

kimjongunisnotdead | GSW

23 | 5 hours ago

I highly doubt he’s ever come close to averaging 90% on 10 attempts a game in any stretch longer than six games

radiokungfu | IND

6 | 5 hours ago

Most he’s ever shot 88% or higher at 8fta minimum is 4.

Fifolifo24

This is the only season in a while he’s rested in the off season.

MVP and also his defense has improved significantly but that steph clip is still gonna push the silly narratives

Lol, its r/nba, half here don’t even watch the games they talk about.

Yep. Already seen the Podz side of the back board from tonight mentioned as a way to say he sucks

JDStraightShot2 | NYK

7 | 5 hours ago

Podz is a weird player bc intellectually I know that he’s a good player and is worth his extension but whenever I see him my instinctual gut reaction is to be a hater. Maybe that’ll change now that he got rid of the stupid TikTok haircut

fuzzythinker | DEN

Nah, that steph clip shows that he can defend and do care about defending. The fall means nothing

BeautifulLeather6671 | GSW

If anything that clip proves he’s actually trying

OddConsideration7290

11 | 5 hours ago

I prefer him actually trying to guard Steph to Steph literally doing anything he can to avoid having to try to guard Luka. Luka would end up frying whatever poor soul Steph begged to take the matchup instead

GigaFly316 | GSW

He’s still far away the front runner

Did you actually watch the game?

Firm_Mode_5868

i’ve watched multiple lakers games this season.

why are we getting excited about “defense” when hes played the jazz, clippsrs x2, or the raptors without kawhi when those teams are playing defense against themselves lol

Candid-Recover6822

7 | 5 hours ago

Do you think that thus far, on this limited sample of games, his defense has looked significantly better than what he used to do on average? Yes or no?

Crobe | SEA

5 | 5 hours ago

His defensive effort and ability is what matters, he’s not gonna be able to guard best players of great teams anyways

I never thought his shooting splits would be like this just based on shot attempts, but it’s wild to see. This is all-time stuff.

Headed for the MVP. I wonder who’ll be the next American to win it.

Anthony Edwards or Cooper Flagg
