The Clippers fall to 1-5 on the season with OKC owning their pick this year.

We’re lucky that lottery reform means that pick isn’t guaranteed to be great right?
Correct. The worst teams no longer have the best odds at the number 1 pick.
Which is still stupid AF
Seeing the worst teams in the league at the end of the season actually trying to win games will be worth it tho imo
Do we really think the Clippers are going to have a bottom 3 record though? I don’t think they’ll be that bad.
I mean shit they had a horrendous starting record last season, locked in and become one of the most winning teams after beating up Chris Paul and then finished 42-40 somehow.
That was with a healthy Kawhi
Kawhi was healthy for some games at the start of the season as well, they looked horrendous. And then something changed
They could. Garland is reportedly trying to play through “back tightness” and it might just be a matter of time that becomes “back soreness” and he misses time.
Also the nets clips and bucks have no incentive to go for the 4-10 seed. They nets actuallg have a disincentive cuz if they get a top 5 pick or get #1 overall then they can’t get that the next year (2028). So it’s entirely possible you see the nets actually play the young guys and trade off people at the deadline. Clips similar have no real reason to try hard for wins
Shit, they might. Kings already feel like they’ve got the worst record sewn up, but I feel like the Clippers are just about in that next Bucks/Nets/Bulls/Pelicans tier of shittiness. Bucks and Nets also have no reason to care about staying out of the bottom 3 so I feel like it’ll be between those three to take the other two spots.
I don’t think the Bulls are out of that tier either
Yeah I forgot about them, tried to get the sneaky edit in. I definitely think those are the next four worst teams after the Kings.
Nets actually want to be bottom 3 to have the highest chance of not securing the #1 pick. If they give Rockets the #1 pick via swap this year, the Nets become ineligible to get the #1 pick next year.
we’ll only know if clippers don’t win more than 20 games if ingram and vets come back and start balling. but as of this team right now, they are in deep trouble.
They always somehow sneak into the playoffs/ins
I hear the best odds are for teams that lose the play-ins This is what happened to GSW last season and we only ended up with 11. we obviously got Lendeborg though so I ain’t complaining
Last draft had normal draft odds. The change is this season.
Makes sense
i don’t think they’re gonna be worse than the kings, bucks, or bulls at the end brother
Watch them get top 3 anyway
OKC got kind of unlucky that the new draft lottery rules went into effect so quick. Clippers are about to have worse lottery odds than the teams that barely miss the play-in.
This draft class looks to be a weaker one, no top prospect on the level like last year. Later picks are a smaller salary. OKC has godly prospect scouting.
5D chess by Presti. Everything is going according to keikaku.
Brilliant
Didn’t Presti ask for this?
Maybe he thought the Clips would be bottom 10 instead of bottom 2.
He also may have looked at it for more than just 1 year.
Yea we have Dallas’ pick next year.
not worse than the kings!
We are going to go 12-70 and get the 8th pick.
It makes our opening day loss to them all the more painful. At least we have Acuff!
Being a 1st round pick of the thunder is perilous business.
Are we ignoring their one gritty win against a bonafide contender???
Honestly the role players on the team have been decent, Garland has been a huge disappointment after the first game
New lottery rules means they are devaluing the pick lol.
Garland has been a terrible lead guard ngl
well OKC might be at the bottom this year with them too
So long as SGA is healthy you can pencil in 45+ wins.
here’s my eraser
Keep dreaming.
I can never remember my dreams
I’m not just dreaming, I’m praying too 🙏
They’re a lifeless team. Full of injuries, got the 5 pick thing hanging over their heads, and they’re relying on a bunch of vets who would be better off playing a smaller role on another team.
Ingram’s return is near so hopefully they can get some wins
OKC getting 1-2 is on the table still
All of our starters are also on the table… getting operated on.
do u think Presti will pull the trigger early and trade Caruso and Hartenstein mid season?
Nah unless he can bring back Dani or someone on insane good contract and still help thunder stay afloat thru the regular season. Otherwise the ownership is dead set on not goin over 2nd apron this year r
Clippers put 2 of our starters on the OR table
Okc with their injuries I don’t know man
Thanks for the reminder
Is this year’s draft even good?
Next draft is supposed to be kinda crappy, no?
As poor as this draft class appears and the with 2nd apron concerns OKC has its not entirely clear that the Thunder would even want a top pick. Im sure guys will eventually emerge but its looking rough early
What? If they don’t want to play the salary they can always trade down lol
Clippers are going into the dark ages for the next 10 years. NBA world is healing, the clippers are dog shit again, Lakers look like contenders. The NBA world is finally correcting itself
Lakers look like contenders
Contenders for another 2nd round exit you mean
Ah shit here we go again …
HOW MANY PICKS DID THEY GET FROM PAUL GEORGE?! IT’S BEEN 8 YEARS
Luckily it’s not that great of a draft class
Sam Presti cackling like a villain
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving franchise
Clippers have the league exactly where they want them. Someone’s gotta pay for those streetlights
And they took out 2 starters for that 1⁄5 record. I am glad Dunn “almost” got the block on JDub….
