[Injury] Jayson Tatum spins with the ball near mid-court and bumps his head into Jamal Cain’s head, and Tatum is bleeding, and eventually he goes to the locker room for treatment (with replays)
Honestly surprised this doesn’t happen more often
Ok, this settles the heated debate of strongest head MVP race.
Jamal Cain is at the top and Tatum is officially out of the race
PELLE LARSSON
The only man with a highlight reel of getting hit in the face
What about Brunson?
Ya, can’t have a strongest head race w/o Mr. Big Head himself
Brother there is one king of head and that is Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets
He’s barely bleeding
in before Hufflepuff allegations
Oh wait
Current nba or all time because we all know dwight is the goat
haha dwight gay, so funny.
I didn’t even know he was gay
J.T. has the darkest hair I’ve ever seen.
The real reason why JB left
We all know the laundry team campaigned to get him traded because he kept leaving streaks in everyones jersey.
It reminded him of unnatural gravy to have with lamb.
It’s pitch black with literally no empty space lol
He got that vantablack treatment
Black 5.0
Most peaceful Magic game
Ahhh yes an accidental headbutt while playing defense banish this magic team now
Especially on a spin move. The offensive player chooses to turn their back on the play with the spin move, so they are basically changing direction blind.
I haven’t watched the play closely enough to have a strong opinion, but spin moves always have the danger of losing sight of where the defense is apart from feeling them on your body.
it aint a magic game without them injuring someone.
Oh come on that was totally accidental
Quoting the chorus of the Magic fan anthem I see
I wouldn’t blame this on the Magic player.
Yes accidental head butt was nefarious
Would you even be able to name anything ‘dirty’ you’ve seen Paolo, Franz, Black, Vooch, WCJ, Da Silva, Cain, Jevon, or Jase do?
I love NBA fans because they clearly just see other people say things and then parrot it
Like you singled out Suggs cus you dont know he’s the most reckless player on the roster lmao
We don’t. A few instances doesn’t make a record.
People using plays like this to say the Magic are dirty goes to show how dumb the narrative is.
I honestly hate playing this team. And it’s not because they’re good.
magic play defense by brute force
…and I saw the baby and the baby looked at me
nah man first three words of this post title had me sweating
Why are these replays so damn long. That was a damn movie.
Yo, I didn’t believe that Tatum PR team stuff until this post.
all jokes aside is it a prerequisite to be blind to be a ref?
I mean what do you wanna call there? Both move, its honestly more on tatum, but not by much…
I mean I’m a celtics fan and this wasn’t a foul. Tatum just bumped on him.
“I like watching him bleed on the court. I think that’s important.” -Joe Mazzulla
What bothers me is the commentator asking why that isn’t a foul. Why should it be? It was perfectly normal movement and motion, one that happens dozens of times a game, nobody was using their head as a weapon. Just because blood is drawn doesn’t me the action behind it warrants a foul, they were both trying to get into position and there was an accidental collision. Harm, but no foul is the correct call there.
Boston commentary is so insufferable. Goes for all sports and all of their media really.
It should be a foul, head to head while making a play for the ball reaching in. That’s a personal foul.
Just because he doesn’t mean to make contact doesn’t mean it isn’t a foul. You know how many shooting fouls happen that players didn’t mean to get. Most fouls aren’t intentional.
So you don’t think his space was encroached on if a dude was close enough to lock heads with him?
Correct. He was playing good defense
You’re not allowed to be close to an offensive player when playing defense?
Tatum made a move, you can’t predict that. Just like a charge, if the defender is legal guarding position it’s not a foul if the offensive player initiates contact. This isn’t really enough contact here to be an offensive foul.
That’s right. Defender is entitled to his space too. You can’t skew in favor of offensive players to use their head to clear space. If there’s a bump and both are entitled to their space, then that shouldn’t be a foul.
Dumbest shit I’ve read on here today, grats!
Really cool to watch Tatum spin around and headbutt a stationary player and then get in the refs face about the fact that he’s bleeding
Cain reaches on the spin, if he didnt reach he doesnt hit him
It was very clearly a reach lmao
Oof they triggered you
Nah u the only one triggered here lmao. Go outside pls
Are you being stupid on purpose? The slow-mo shows you that the defender reaches in just as Tatum turns his head around, or is Tatum supposed to have eyes at the back of his head? Not even a Celtics/Tatum fan but calling the player stationary is ridiculous.
WTF you talking about? Cain head butted him. Ridiculous it wasn’t a penalty.
Here comes Tatum’s great PR team
I might expect that to be a foul.
Reach in, specifically
It is a clear defensive foul
It is you cant crowed the offensive player by moving your head into their space. 100% a foul by the rule
Cain didn’t even move. Tatum whipped his head into the defender’s space.
He dove forward for the ball when he was already only a few inches from Tatum’s head.
The replay clearly shows him move his head into his space
Are you on drugs?
This call might be debatable, but listening to Scal question every single call that goes against the Celtics is incredibly annoying and obnoxious.
Quite literally a defensive foul. What are you talking about?
