please don’t give them any ideas. It literally took me eight minutes to post this 😭😭

While on this sub, it may tedious and unnecessary, I think a lot of subs could benefit from better source quote etc. r/republican comes to mind…

and keegan

It’s been six games, way too early to call and especially to say it’s not close. A lot of the players listed (even ant who has made huge leaps) did not look this good six games in

Like, maybe 1. This draft class will clear 2020 and maybe even be a top 3 draft class ever

he especially last years man with Flagg taking the superstar leap and offensive and defensive presence, also harper, lots of great FUTURE OF THE LEAGUE candidates and all round greats, truly blessed era!!

This class got some players as well, I think we should wait and see after a few years.

The 2018 class had two guys who were Finals MVPs, another who’s finished top 3 in MVP voting, a Defensive Player of the Year and two more guys who were starters on title winners, all before they were out of their twenties. Is there even a single guy drafted in 2020 who’s done any of that?

He’s the one shining light out there in sac

God I wish the Clippers drafted Acuff instead of Wagler. I don’t think I can bear watching this lanky broccoli head play like shit when Acuff is balling.

He put up an efficient 38/5/5… he was not a part of that lol he was the only reason it wasn’t a 50 point loss

Would have been twice as much if not for him. This roster is mega cheeks

Idk he led Arkansas to 28 wins as a freshman

His usage rate actually could mean he finishes above 20 PPG and under 40 percent FG, which is super rare. I wonder how often that happens in the modern NBA.

I mean this sub pretty much wrote the book on him after his first two games. Judging from his college splits he’s probably closer to his last two games than his first 2.

He will…but he’s a rookie. 17ppg on 40% shooting in your first year on a bad team isn’t bad. Players are allowed to make mistakes and grow- they shouldn’t be labelled in the first week of their NBA career

Lavine is now very close to the all time career lowest plus/minus in NBA history. He’s been on some bad teams but his on/off even factoring in teammates is also very negative.

I wish we could send him to Miami somehow. That would make them more fun.

Pretty sure he’d already be on his couch if he hadn’t been a top Rich Paul client. Rich Paul has Vivek by the balls

His contract is so massive it would be inconvenient to try and salary dump him, I see him getting bought out tbh

He should have no interest in making more than the MLE if this is how he’s gonna play on a contract year

Trade lavine, sabonis, hunter, keegan, total rebuild

that includes acuff who is a bottom 10 defender in the sport. he’s laughably bad

Meh. I’ve seen dozens of lottery picks get the unlimited green light and it almost always helps them move up the skill curve faster.

Kid had 14 assists last game, he’ll be fine

The people who keep parroting this aren’t actually watching him and the games, and I don’t blame you, but kid is taking, most the time, perfect opportunity shots. He gives the whole team DOZENS of chances to score off his passes and they let him down, his potential assists are through the roof.

The kid is high IQ, emotionally mature, gifted & hard working and producing now and only gonna get better. Idk what bad habits he’s gonna make based off all that.

If this was some green, immature, low IQ teenager, I would be worried but at the same time I’m seeing all his shots and opportunities and they’re there.

I think it’s fine if the Kings let him shoot as much as he wants, he’s a great passer and decision maker too so it won’t get too bad. The real issue is the coaching staff doesn’t seem to care about his defensive effort, which was his number one red flag in the draft.

It’s ok to suck at defense like Brunson or Harden, but you still have to give effort. Brunson takes charges, Harden can’t be posted up. You can’t suck at defense AND not try.

For example Booker wouldn’t be the the player he was if he didn’t had the opportunity and green light in his first seasons. SGA too

I was going to say if he was at least being efficient that is good, but he’s averaging 24pts on 23.8 fgs, shooting 37.8 fg%, 22.2 3pt%.

Unfortunately the “role models” don’t seem to be role modelling in that team lol

Honestly Acuff struggled shooting the first game but is at 56% TS% the last 5.

Edit: and rookie point guards are rarely efficient, 50% TS% is kind of the norm for a rookie lead guard.

Not like it was a secret that we wanted Acuff BADLY either, I know folks above us tried to get us to trade up but Perry smartly stood his ground like “Hey yall want him, be my guest”

Just go to the Clippers subreddit. They still think Wagler is a project that will turn into an elite player despite him honestly looking like ass. I really, really wanted Acuff and it’s hard to watch him ball out.

That speaks for how good this class is honestly.

Holy shit, a single digit loss.

He has insane ability to draw foul so far, which is incredible especially for his age. His FTA per game per 36 is like 10, which is prime Dwade level.

Lmfao Acuff is the exact same size and measurements as Finals MVP Brunson. Yall really gotta stfu about Undersized and Acuff in the same sentence

If he at any point takes the Kings to the finals he will unquestionably be the greatest Sacramento player of all time, even if he is held completely scoreless that entire series.

You know I wasn’t conscious enough to watch basketball when the Lakers and Kings had a rivalry so I actually don’t have anything against the Kings at all, when I started playing 2k15 I was drafted to the kings and I would throw hella lobs to Demarcus Cousins

But let’s be real I think you could put me in that front office and I’d do a better job than whoever the fuck they got running the show currently, they only lucked into Acuff because the clippers happen to be in the same category of incompetence. They’ll probably trade him for a center who can’t play defense after he publicly declares how much he loves Sacramento and wants to build a winning culture there, you know, like they did last time.

But listen until that happens can we just watch this dude drop fuckin buckets, like come on

Absolutely! I appreciate him not flopping. I very much enjoyed watching his game. Hopefully you guys can get something out of Sabonis and Lavine and get this rebuild going

I loved that fact about him when he played for my Hogs, but now I need him to get stats for my agenda!

I like em even more cuz of that 🥰 no respect for floppers from me

I really don’t see why people hate a 19 year old kid on the worst team in the NBA. Guess they are just mad he’s better than their rookie
