Yep. The Wolves most likely switch to the East once expansion happens so the way I look at it: we have at least 3-4 years to make it a West rivalry (unless they meet in the Finals which would be even better)

People just don’t understand defense that well. Wemby is the most impactful defensive player we’ve seen in many years AND he’s a top-10 offensive player. That combo is insane.

He will never be close to Wemby. I’ve been watching the NBA since the early 90s and this guy is easily the best defensive talent l’ve seen, while also being an excellent offensive player. There’s no comparison.
Never say never lol if he’s averaging 27/6/7 on 65% ts with his level of defense for the whole year, definitely discussions will be made
Wemby’s the best defender in the league while giving you 25 and 12.. He’s at worst the 3rd best player in the sport.
I think it would be pretty crazy considering Victor is clearly at worst a top five player in the league. Cooper’s amazing! But if he was a top five player in the league in a couple of years I’d be surprised.
Victor’s impact on defense really is that absolutely mind-boggling
Hard for me to imagine him becoming good enough on offense, even with how good he is on defense, to become more impactful than Victor by the time he’s 22
Cooper is an insane defensive talent though at 6’9, 1st team all defense to start the year and I think his offense is a little better than Wembys imo, so we’ll see if he keeps up the trajectory 3 years from now
Oh he’s definitely a great defender. There’s just a difference between great defender and on the trajectory to be the clear greatest of all time. If he stays healthy. Victor is sometimes hard to compare players to because he is simultaneously a little Rocky offensively for a first option, while being so unbelievably on his own plane of existence defensively that I think sometimes even people who genuinely truly recognize him as the best offender in the world can minimize just how big of a gap there is between him and everyone else
