He absolutely knows what pace is lmao. Dude just isn’t good at these sorts of interviews. He’s obviously pretty amped up and I feel like getting something about defensive coverages out of him is more than you’ll get out of most stimulated people in this sort of situation. The late, great Brandon Clarke had years of sideline and post game interviews(he got a lot as an impactful 6th man) before he stopped looking like he was gonna have a panic attack.
Yeah to me this sounded like he just didn’t think pace favors one team or the other in general
yeah he’s politely saying, “that’s not a good question”
Blake Griffin said a long time ago they ask you questions when you just got out of the game and trying to catch your breath. You just start saying whatever to get done with go sit
You can know what pace means without knowing what it means for the pace to favor a particular team. It kind of doesn’t make sense. People talk about “controlling the pace of the game” as if the pace of the game isn’t equally controlled by both teams by definition - you only choose how fast you want to play on your offensive possessions.
Orlando, FL education
Colonial High School stand tf up. B school when my year’s FCAT scores counted, right back to a D school afterwards baybeee. RIP Dr. Mitchell.
I went to a great public school(by national standards not Tennessee) growing up and I don’t think anything outside of joining the debate team or going to a private school with a heavy emphasis on rhetoric and critique would prepare most people for these interviews. If you’re not a natural on the spot, you need more than a few class presentations a year to prepare for having a camera shoved in your face and to say something interesting after physical and mental extertion.
Did you not have a language arts unit on presentation? I mean who knows if it would be good enough. But I was taught ways to be a good presenter/speaker.
Yeah we were taught to present in front of classes and certain teachers of mine were big into getting us to submit our essays and present them at bigger 4-H events and all that but those are structured and prepared. I think engaging in debate, defending your work, etc are more applicable and more rare outside of college or certain extra curriculars.
He doesn’t have to know what it means, he literally invented basketball. GOAT
Paul Reed invented basketball
Aaron Wiggins saved it
Yaxel revived it
Because it’s provocative
It gets the people going.
WINNING.
Dude just goes out and plays ball. It’s not pretty, and it doesnt always make sense, but most of the time it just works lol
I miss him, glad he seems to be loved in Detroit
I haven’t seen a single fan dare besmirch our beloved BBall Paul
Come to think of it I don’t know if I’ve seen a fan of any team do so, I mean he literally is basketball
I really miss basketball Paul. He always plays hard.
I don’t know besmirch means but it favors us
I just don’t understand why he was let go in the first place.
Because then we’d have a capable backup center and that’s not fundamentally allowed by the universe
to make cap for paul george’s max contract. non-guaranteed contract.
I miss him. Just one of those guys that’s fun to root for
Hes also just good af. Like his skill and touch for a big is honestly kind of insane.
It’s why I wasn’t too worried about losing Stew. The offensive production and rebounding he provides are so underrated
Looks weird as hell but it just works
He technically is LeBron James height
OUT THA MUD
“I’m from Florida, bitch”
I love bball lmfao he’s perfect
Tbh often it is pretty lol, he’s really impressed me this season with his creative finishing around the rim
his name is literally bball
everyone gather round and listen to his wisdom
He got his wisdom out the mud.
Wtf is this really his 3rd season with Detroit already? I could have sworn he was still on the Sixers last season…..
Dude sounds like he’s played forty minutes already
I think his mouthguard is still in lol
he kinda just sounds like that too. exaggerated here
B-Ball not knowing the word “pace” explains so much about why Doc Rivers hated him. He didn’t understand 60% of what Doc was yelling in games.
“Come on! Come on guys!”
Pace means that most dog it half the time they are out there. Yup. Paul doesn’t understand that
Doc Ock?
No, the other famous fictional Doctor. No not that one. The other other famous fictional Doctor in fiction.
They don’t call him Vocabulary Paul for a reason
Nobody knows what it means, but it’s provocative, it gets the people going
Oh fuck you’re gonna make me pace
Polarized comments here. All I can say dude is a good player and I like his attitude. Triple salute 🙌
Incredibly special player
Not called Bball IQ Paul. What do you want from him?
Actually bball or bust for him
Paul Reed is my dad
Pace? He’s not a Pacer. Interview over.
my out the mud hoodie is a priced possession
put it on mute, it’s impossible to read his lips.
yeah thats because he talks with his teeth and never his lips or tongue
I love you Bball Paul
I love this man
I feel like that was his way (esp as tired as he was) of saying that wasn’t a great question.
Lmao legend
You only need one speed to get out the mud
game must have evolved too much in the time since he invented it
It was basketball or nothing
I’m guessing he knows what pace is but doesn’t think about it favoring one team or another. You get the same amount of possessions.
Must be more of a Tostitos guy
This stuff’s made in New York City!
Vibes of that dude that saw the leprechaun in a tree
He just knows B-Ball. It’s why they named the game after him.
Real
English? Naw, Paul only knows Ball
