Injuries getting kinda washed, needed to remind us that they still on their prime

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: it was a mistake to let AD and Trae end up in Washington, because now they’ve learned foul Wizard magicks to steal the health of other stars that they might sustain themselves.

Morant’s hamstrings are basically penciled into the calendar to remind us injuries exist three times a season.

Possessions that revolve around post ups are a lot easier on hamstrings and ankles and ligaments.

Please don’t think about it next time 🙏

The season is just way too damn long. I can’t believe another star player has been injured after……FOUR games!

It happens every year

To be fair, it’s Ja Morant. His 4 game streak was like an iron man streak for him

I mean, Ja is an injury prone player.

Missed a decimal point there

72 games asap

AlsoChet Holmgren (knee)Alex Caruso (Ankle)Otega Oweh (Achilles)

Me (heartbreak)

I really don’t know what these GMs are doing.  I would simply sign players that don’t have legs.

“Our studies show load management has no impact on injuries,” Adam Silver mumbled in between bites of yet another freshly strained hamstring

They need to slow the game down. This has never been this bad

Who will fall today?

Butlers been injured for like four years now

He’s getting 2M+ per game played over that timespan

Yves Missi, the Pels starting center

Putting Kawhi in this list is so funny.

Season needs to be condensed. We’ll be seeing more of this as the years go on

Damn MetLife turf

Egor Demin

I heard these players all trained with the 49ers.

/s

And LeBron (old)

Shaedon Sharpe had Meniscus tear in his knee in August.

Tobias Harris too

Porzingis is due to appear on the side of milk cartons

FuckThisSeason

big sad

Just to name it…the nba generally plays 10 men in the rotation. That’s 300 players who are rotation players. 150 starters.

You just named 20+ starters who are out.

These ratios are heading towards where the product is really hurt. Much higher than NFL injury rates, and that’s kind of hilarious to imagine.

When you have 4 year contracts and nobody really cares till April, you have this. The ty Jerome mvp campaign.

Oh damn, Kon not playing yet?

You forgot Ben Simmons!

Somehow, Embiid and AD survived all of this

Tbf

Jalen Williams, Kawhi, JJJ, Suggs, Zubac, Hali and Ja are all coming off of season ending injuries so reinjury is common if not likely.

So then if it’s just Ant, Duren, Paolo and Wallace it’s not nearly as crazy.

OK but adding Kawhi onto these lists is always unnecessary. It’s just a given that dude is gonna be injured, means nothing for the state of the rest of the league lol

Scary shit this season. In the Knicks-Bulls game Wednesday, we briefly thought KAT broke his hand, OG’s head bounced off the hardwood, and Shamet looked like he popped an achilles until I saw the sprain on replay. Never wanted a game to be over faster.

Keeping the doctor…not far away?

You get fake injuries to allow you to play GTA6

I get fake injuries to allow me to play Ocarina of Time

We are not the same

Glad you said it.

All NBA is going to be disgusting this year

Mvp averaging 5/2/2

Ty Jerome slander

Yaxel

Mikal on his 4 ppg

Tatum was working in secret while he was recovering, tampering with every other player’s legs

Unless Mike Brown keeps giving him only 13 minutes. That doesn’t count towards the 65

Tatum

It’s incredible…  I thought it was out medical staff too.

wouldn’t you know it, blazers medical staff also cursed

Can’t say it’s not a valid strategy

You kind of hope that the guys in their 20’s will stay healthy so you aren’t leaning on your 2 guards who are over 35. Instead we have Sharpe and Morant on IR.

I mean between 36 year old Dame coming off an Achilles tear and Ja who has never even played a 70 game season, they would have been stupid to not have guard depth.

Alvarado’s been out all week, Rockstar must have hooked him up with the demo version

The attitude probably won’t be as much of an issue in portland now that he’s fighting for his standing in the league, but pretending it wasn’t a problem is just denial. He very visibly quit on this team on national television last year in the second week of the season.

The attitude has also been an issue in the past 3 years

He’s also had a terrible attitude a lot of the time.

Seems like he’s made a very conscious effort to change that and has been cool in Portland, but that doesn’t change the past. Hope he is able to put it all together

Health/injuries are the root cause for most downfalls we see in the NBA now from players to teams. But it’s a lot more fun for people to attack the player/team directly than to acknowledge injuries (cause that’d be boring)

“The issue for the past 3 years has only been health.”

Lol 3 years ago (23-24 season) he was suspended 25 games for flashing a gun on social media. So yeah this is wrong. At best you should say for the past 2 years.

And even that is generous, considering in 2025 he got fined for doing gun-aiming gestures on court, and in Nov 2025 the Grizzlies gave him a 1 game suspension for a heated argument with the head coach.

As a grizzlies fan as well, let’s ask Vince Williams how good of a teammate he is. Or this time last year where he threw a fit when coach didn’t play him because he was hurting the team in the Lakers game.

He 100% takes plays off and goes through the motions some nights. He also said the viral dunks are over. To say “health” is the only thing that has brought down his career is not true.

Health is only one of his issues. The other is stalled out improvement in his game if not outright regression.

Nah, his attitude was definitely an issue. Saw multiple grizzlies games at the forum where he was in hoody on sidelines with hood up, head down, and didn’t stand up or talk to a teammate the whole time.

Tbh, it’s all the above and then some

Eh sports teams will tolerate a lot and I mean a lot of stupid or illegal things if you’re good

Ja has great processing and passing feel, his issues are his 3ball and defense tbh. Hard to be a lead guard in today’s nba if defenses concede the pull up jumper

“only” is doing a lot of work in that second-to-last sentence

And he got injured playing the Grizzlies. I think y’all are just cursing him or something

Yea not really too surprised with ja

Nothing wrong with not having hot takes and just going “yep, all of the above” and calling it a day instead of performing endless mental gymnastics.

Dog did you watch the games? He’s got terrible body language and disposition when shit isn’t going well, basically has ever since he got knocked out of the playoffs from injury. He quits if things aren’t going how he wants and you saw it over and over again the last 2 seasons, “ask the coaching staff”.

Yeah nothing wrong with flashing guns on a livestream lmao

His play on the court has absolutely fallen off though it’s not just injury concerns anymore

It’s both. You don’t get to wipe away all that tom-foolery and stupidity.

He has moved past the gun stuff but his attitude was a huge part of the grizzlies downfall. It was well documented at the time that he and the coach disagreed on the offense; he wanted to run heliocentric PnR, the coach wanted a spread offense. They were good with the spread, they fired the coach to appease ja, went to PnR, and their offense tanked. He then continued to gripe about the sub patterns the new coach was using even when they starting running tons of PnR the following season.

Hopefully all of that leading to him getting unceremoniously salary dumped to portland was a humbling experience, but all of that stuff was absolutely real. Hopefully he will come back healthy, because he was playing really well so far in portland.

Sadly I think this is his career.

Edit - I think this comment is being misconstrued that this injury is going to end his career. I’m not saying that at all. He is just injury prone and can not seem to stay healthy for any extended period of time.

‘Only’ is doing some reeeeeeaaaal heavy lifting there, my guy. Health has definitely been PART of it, but the rest of that stuff has one hundred percent been a big deal, as well.

Similar story with Ben Simmons and his back

42,000 comments? Definitely a bot!

Your life has to go on, and you don’t have world-class trainers around the clock.

Caleb was 3 weeks, but also, did you have a grade 2?

NBA guys must be getting advance copies

Same. I’m a wolves fan and I sat thru an abyss of sadness to get here. We’re currently in a good run and that’s the only thing keeping me here. Just because I waited so long. If it weren’t for that I almost surely would be out

It’s not limited to the NBA, everyone wants your money and will nickel and dime you to get it nowadays.  They don’t stop when they make a good product, they sacrifice quality to milk our teats for even more profit until quality gets so bad it goes up only because it’s good for business.  Look at Burger King vs. Wendy’s for an example of how it all plays out.

high. Both made of glass

The Blazers reporting is different than Shams. They said re-evaluate in 4 weeks which doesn’t mean he’ll play at that point. So yeah, he won’t be back until 2027.

We were blessed with maple bars, god determined that’s enough for us.

I hate this but with Ja it’s unfortunately inevitable

Deni is borderline superstar. This just means more usage for him. Also fucking Scoot - it is now or never these next four weeks. No excuses. The minutes are there

Y’all were my League Pass team too 😢

We got to have good vibes for a whole week.

If we’re counting preseason, then yes.

Being surprised that Ja Morant is injured again is hilarious
