As we all expected. One team did need to be struck off the list as the Grizzlies faced the sole other undefeated team tonight in the Portland “Fuck El Cheapo” Trail Blazers.

Needless to say, the Grizzlies won that bout. In surprisingly dominant fashion, at that.

When am I allowed to overreact and call the Grizzlies a play-in team

Optimistic Grizzlies fans were already saying this before the season started because of the sneakiness of this team and having absolutely zero expectations. Now that they’ve started like this, I don’t think it’s crazy we were saying that at all now.

Play-in seems realistic now

Play-In? They might mess around and earn home-court advantage seeding

If they stay at level they will probably make a trade mid season and get even better

Call me crazy but you might be able to aim a little higher than that with all the injuries right now and your momentum

Shocked by the grizzlies being undefeated this far into the season but I did think they had a decent roster

Play in seems too low. Overreact harder. 2 seed and reaching the 2nd round might be possible.

Houston is seriously a good team. Missing piece was injured all last year and everyone looks better with him around.

Memphis has a really well-balanced roster when healthy and has an all-star level rookie which is almost unfathomable. They’ll average out at .500 though, I think they’re gonna lose more close games than win.

It’s a little spooky when an old vet seems to be the glue holding us all together. I’m glad it’s working out now, and being able to finally load manage our guys has been great, but I do hope we have a plan for if he goes down again.

Rough night for him offensively and maybe that’s related to coming back to Portland but he’s been a really solid, calm and productive role off the bench. He’s a great vet for our young guys to learn from.

Rim protection, shooting, playmaking, perimeter defenders and loads of rebounding.

Haven’t watched the grizzlies this season. Is it boozer? Does he control the game that much or is it just the whole team that stepped up?

Any win will look surprisingly dominant when the opposition goes 12-49 from 3. That said, Memphis looks great.

Two weeks into the 2026⁄27 season, the only remaining undefeated NBA seasons are…the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets?
