Thank you for not posting “oh nvm I fixed it” then disappearing into the aether.

They could have 5-0. Last game was really winnable. And how about Vanderbilt. Not bad eh.

And with Reaves only scoring 16 points.

This team is actually very fun to watch. Kessler, Matisse, Zaire, Grimes and Mamu have all been great so far. Sexton showed out today, hopefully he can continue to be productive

Just wait untill the fat man get’s injured and chokes again

It doesn’t help that we’re not setting him up for any success.

Garland is very clearly a player who would be at his best when he has other creators to allow him to play off ball. Like, if you saw him at his best with the Cavs or even last year, you’d think he’s a different player.

He has on ball chops to create primarily for himself or make easy passes with a more open court. Yet we’ve basically seen 0 off ball movement from him this season because we lack other creators resulting in him having to have primary ball handling at all times.

We’re basically playing him like Harden, when he should realistically be asked to play more like Steph. Ingram should help a ton, but basically give us any playmaker. He doesn’t look as erratic out there with Wagler, but you also can’t have them overlap in minutes too much, because one of them always has to be on the court.

He kind of reminds me Stephen castle. A much less BBIQ and more ballhog version without the athleticism and constantly hurt

Sexton is the more consistent scorer out of the two. He’s a professional chucker. Lol.

I thought he was waived, you guys pick him back? Damn he is nothing compare to Max

Grimes is a confidence player, needs to be pumped a lot of minutes to get output. Sexton is well.., sexton. He is the bull

Vanderbilt is the key. Lol.

I knew he was washed and not a long-term fit for backup center when I saw that he struggled to get minutes on the Pelicans last season.

That guy is a basketball terrorist and I hope we can find another backup C down the line

Clippers somehow won 11 in a row from 2021 to 2023 too. Those were fun. Both teams stars were injured for a lot of those.

When we beat the Clippers I get a little Chubby dude

I won’t forget the game where Blake Griffin dunked on Pau

Kessler has been great overall but sometimes I watch him try to box out and it’s baffling. Like he doesn’t understand physics or something and just forgets where he’s supposed to put his body to block out the other guy.

Dude for real. It’s a constant pump fake every time on the catch. The defenders don’t even believe him atp. Granted he’s a great slasher and can create in the paint but my god just pull them half the time at least

He’s a fine shooter. No clue why he’s this hesitant. If anything his issue in recent seasons was poor shot selection.

I admire Grimes for his quickness and fearless approach to the rim. But dude, someone just drove to the basket, pulled 2 defenders, you’re wide open with noone even trying to approach you. SHOOT IT!

Self inflicted indeed

He’s there in our hea…. I can’t finish it even for the joke.

A lot of that was in garbage time. He really struggled with the physicality of the game during the first 3 quarters.

LAC fans were hating on Rui for some rough shooting, but just his gravity out there is important for this shitty of an offense. Teams completely cheat off of Dunn/DJJ, and opposing Cs can hedge really hard because iJax isn’t exactly a big threat down low.

Garland has frankly looked awful in a lot of ways, but that’s in large part because he has the entire weight of the offensive playmaking on his shoulders, and I just don’t think he’s that level of facilitator. He’s at his best playing like Steph with some passing, but a lot more connective passing and off ball movement.

Wagler overall I thought continues to look like a player who plays smart, team basketball. He realized his team needed more offense, so he got a bit more willing to pull the trigger. He wasn’t in rhythm tonight (literally nobody on LAC was), but I liked most of his shots and his ability to use his deceleration to draw fouls is already really good.

I remember last year we had a game in Portland on the 2nd night of a back to back without Luka, AR, or LeBron, but Nick Smith Jr went nuclear for a stretch and we ended up winning lol. It’s just a reminder that these guys are insanely talented and damn near anyone can go on a heater if the opportunity is there

Yeah, you never do that, always shit the bed against bad teams then somehow beat the Celtics with reserves or something like that

this season?

Tbf, it’s not like we control our own pick. I do think the team will look a lot better if we’re able to get Ingram/Yanic back sometime soon, but until then… woof. Us only having 2 creators (with 1 being a 19 year old rokie) without Ingram is a death sentence.

Garland basically does way too much, and Wagler has no release valve when teams are just blitzing him because nobody else can create offense.

I’ve honestly found them one of the more enjoyable teams to watch of those bad teams near the bottom. This game wasn’t it but the previous ones, they’ve been pretty fun and scrappy and everyone looks like they care

He’s on fire the whole game regardless of his stats I love it

MF was possessed on defense lol

Sexton is a psycho and I love it. I’ll always love him for his 3 on 5 game in college lol.

I also appreciated that he gave some “Welcome to the NBA moments” to Wagler. You could tell it kind of lit a fire under him and pushed him to be more aggressive, which was nice to see even if his shot wasn’t falling.

It’s obvious he needs to gain some strength, but outside of that, his play is super encouraging.

Already uses his elite levels of deceleration to draw fouls, which is really great to see so early on his career. Defensively, he gets pushed off his mark, but he’s always competing, in the right spots, and contesting well. His shot wasn’t falling tonight, but I still appreciated that he clearly knew the team needed him to be more aggressive, so he started looking for his own shot more. Couldn’t get a shooter’s bounce or roll on a lot of them, but his ability to find his balance makes him have really clean looks.

Most concerning part of his game is that some of his drives are just not even competitive, which is a mix of his lack of athleticism and strength.
