3rd game in 4 days and watched two of his teammates get their seasons ended. Yeah, I’d be defeated out there too.
I genuinely feel bad for him, and that’s coming from a direct rival fan. Watching your buddy and teammate break his ankle and then multiple other guys get hurt immediately afterwards in a season that you had potential to win probably feels ludicrously demoralizing.
Obviously they can still contend and guys will come back but the vibes have gotta be terrible right now.

They’re missing 3 starters and 4 all-defense players. Several guys on the floor would normally never see the court except in a blowout. Two guys who played extended minutes are on 2-way deals. Its not just a bad shooting night for the team.

He can’t consistently shoot over triple coverage and hedges that keep him from getting close to the paint. He had a terrible game, partly induced by a great defensive scheme and partly induced by absolutely horrific shooting around him. He made the right pass a number of times, which resulted in nothing. He got frustrated, took a series of five terrible shots, and then the game was out of reach.
I think this is selling SGA short. He’s going to consistently face triple teams all season with his costar out. This was a bad game by him. And he will find a way to shoot over the triple teams and random teammates shooting 15% from three.
But look at the lineup they are trying with him. Not an excuse but a transition or experimental period for them.
