Wins only tangentially matter to the hornets this season; they will be lucky if they make the play in, and the lamelo trade was not made with immediate wins in mind. Prioritizing the culture and making sure everyone stays in line is more of a priority right now. If someone thinks they can half-ass it as long as the team wins, then the young guys start feeling that, and the entire thing crumbles before it’s started.
