That’s not bad

Yeah the way Shams phrased the announcement earlier today people thought he may be out for months. Should’ve waited for the assessment to come back

His wording was fine, he clearly said they were still gathering info and a timeline

But in these situations ppl always assume the worst

Pretty sure that Shams went on McAfee and made a really lazy report based on Carlisle’s comments to a local radio station this morning.

I’m ngl it sounds like he was making a massive unconfirmed claim exclusively off the word “hamstring” given to him by a source.

A reporter in Indy was confused by Shams saying that, basically, he’d heard it wasn’t as major as it’s being made out to be. Ofc anything hamstring related is bad, but it sounded way worse than “week to week” which is what Rick just told a reporter.

I read hamstring and automatically think he’ll be useless for the whole season. Harden, Aaron Gordon and J-Dub trained me to think like that

It’s not a sham bomb if he doesn’t spice it up

SiphenPrax | NYK

Just enough time for him to return to face us (that will not be fun)

OpeDefinitely | IND

Apparently Rick said “2 weeks, maybe a little earlier”.

Basically right in line with a grade 1 strain. Seems to be less serious than the strain he played through for half a season + an extended playoffs run in 2024.

It’s just being smart imo. He’s just getting back into it if he so much as gets a cramp I’d want him to take it easy right now just to make sure it’s really nothing, let alone anything calf/lower leg related on either leg

Sit til the All-Star break. Use the second half to ramp up before the playoffs. (Assuming we make it in)

From an OKC fan, sit out longer Tyrese. Jalen came back too early multiple times last season from a lingering hamstring injury, and then he injured his other hamstring.

Season is still very early and 2 years ago when Indiana made the finals they had a rough start due to injuries too. They should be very very patient with this one.

Hopefully they are careful with it, hammy stuff man is brutal

[Charania] Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton will miss at least two weeks with the left hamstring strain.
