Most likely, one of the best rebounding teams or the best in the league right now

Maybe in terms of potential defensive-offensive balance, but the 2018-19 Blazers had a pretty strong 53-win team that might have gotten further if Nurkic didn’t get break his leg right before the playoffs. That was a WCF team that faced the 2019 Warriors.

Certainly since he became Dame. We had some good teams before Aldridge left when Dame was young

I think this or the 2014-15 squad before Wesley Matthews got injured. That starting 5 was so good and so well-rounded. And then you had a good bench too

It’s either this team, or when Aldridge was the main guy. I’d still say that team was better overall, but Dame hadn’t hit his prime yet. It’s suuuuper close tbh.

2019 will always hold a special place in my heart. Nurk was a beast before getting hurt and we still made WCF without him.

This is at worst a top 3 team Dame has had though, and top 2 with Dame as the best guy

A great portland addition to what if teams.

Roy, Aldridge, lenord, for dames start and a scrappy but hopeful end to the chip.

Fun run either way.

2018-19 with before the Nurk injury was a solid team. I’d actually recommend watching the game vs the Raptors later in the season to see what could’ve been. That team was just a rag tag team where the peak of Dame/CJ and Stotts ball over achieved with the sum of their parts.

2014-15 was probably the more go to pick for the best team for most people but that bench was atrocious, that was a very top heavy team and it showed once Wes Matthews got injured

2026-27 is possibly the most rounded team with the caveat of forward depth and injury depth concerns.

Time will only tell but its most definitely his deepest

Best overall team. 2014-2015 best starting 5.

No, 2014/15/19 would like a few words

In terms of side kick, Deni is for sure his best player that he play with

Certainly the most depth

Yes, probably since 2014, when LMA, Wes, Batum, etc. were here but Dame wasn’t truly Dame yet

Mightve gone the dates wrong Im a lil emotional lol, but yes ypoure right, it should be Lamarcus Aldridge and company Brandon Roy and whatnot my apologies

It weirdly works. Dame provides elite outside shooting while Ja provides elite inside penetration.

Then you got Jrue providing a balance of it and elite defense.

Morant and Dame and Avdija.

They have some good offensive weapons. They can kill you with threes, drives and at the free throws.

Williams is healthy and looked good.

This is what I never understood, Bane and Ja worked here plus Dame is a better shooter than Bane (not discrediting Des here) but a worse defender than Des but offensively it was always going to work.

Makes me so happy to watch dude thriving and rediscovering the love of the game.

It seems like it’s probably pretty fun playing with Dame and Deni.

It feels cathartic seeing him on the sideline after what we have experienced since the Chauncey era began.

The Blazers don’t have a top 10 player, but their 1-8 is as good as any unit in this league. So many combinations to mess with at any point in this game.

Dame was drafted in 2012 and never played for Nate McMillan either. OP is lost

You’re correct, OP is wrong.

Yeah but that’s not 3-0

So good. I miss him in Boston.

It’s crazy that I forget they have Jrue half the time and then, bam, second unit comes in and Jrue F’ing Holliday is the PG.

In fact that season we started out by beating the Kings Suns and Lakers lmao

4-0 actually

Yeah McMillan never had Dame.

Also they were 3-0 in 2022

Dame was drafted the summer of 2012, his first season was 2012-2013, same season that Stotts became our head coach.

Oh my word

What a time

And we still have 3 straight years of bucks picks coming up.

Micah Nori

McMillan got fired and replaced by Canales for half a season, then Stotts was hired the same season Dame was a rookie, 2012-2013.
