Also chased Dame around on numerous possessions. Dude was easily one of our best defenders tonight. Kessler, Grimes, Sexton, all fucking terrible

Meanwhile, Loony with the -8 costing us the game in 5 minutes xD

If the blazers didn’t miss 142 free throws he would not be a +7

Single game +/- is such a stupid stat to hold on to. He did everything he could except for stay in front of the man he was defending.

they are not built to play defense. The roster is a bunch of scorers in their top 7 rotation guys. Their hope is to gel well enough that it becomes a high octane offense.

Nope they won’t play defense. The personnel says it all.

effort starts with your top guy. how do you expect your team to buy into hard defense if the top dog doesn’t

That stretch where Grimes and Sexton took turns bricking 3’s for 4 straight minutes was painful. Lost the game in that stretch

Would like to see tighter execution from him, though. He got a bit sloppy to end the 3rd.

Trail Blazers have a Big Four in Deni, Ja, Dame, and Jrue with really good role players in Henderson, Clingan, Williams, Camara (a rising 3 & D star), and eventually high flying Shaedon Sharpe when he comes back.

See i agree with this take. Teams are gonna have hot shooting nights.

I think the lakers should’ve gotten Kessler more involved sooner. And we know how good Ziare and Thybulle can be defensively.

Everyone plays the lakers like its the finals.

I need to see more Mamu as the back up 5. He plays like a mini Marc Gasol and is a good offensive hub.

The team is still figuring things out. Its not easy when you get a whole new roster to start with.

Before that shooting Portland missed a lot in the 3rd if u watched full game.

I think Sexton should never share the floor with Luka. He makes more sense in those AR only lineups cause AR can play offball and demands attention. I do not want to see a Sexton iso when Luka is right there

Sexton and Grimes were horrific tonight.

Sexton is playing like a guy whose never played with Austin and Luka.

Correction, it gets you $19M from Rob Pelinka.

Yeah sexton was ass today

You sound a bit too optimistic, you should try watching some Kings games.

Luka never had s tier roleplayers on his team sadly and never had a 2way star teammate

I’d rather have AD but everyone has their preferences ig

At putting up big scoring numbers and giving up big scoring numbers to the other side.

Don’t disrespect Kessler now

2 days ago people were saying Walker Kessler trade was the best move of the off-season. Now Ja and Dame bring the belt out and suddenly Luka has no help

Dame Time. Call Ja.

It’s one game and there have only been four games total. Everyone needs to chill

Last year they also had a 41 year old who carried them past the 1st round

It’ll always be that. Luka makes the other team look like trash as well as his own team

Both teams played hard

He used to have one.

Top 3 is absolutely on the table with the injuries so far

Somehow the Thunder despite all their injuries are still a better roster than this Lakers team imo

don’t sleep on thyble

6th seed should be enough with this roster

Zaire and Thybulle were both good tonight too. But yeah Sexton and Grimes were awful and Looney is simply unplayable

Kessler just needs to learn how to get the ball when the ball misses

He’s not getting MVP. It’s SGAs again this year.

I doubt this is happening. I think they’ll be 5th or 6th. But the West is crazy so who knows.

Sexton is great energy off the bench. Solid point guard minutes.

This was a team effort loss tonight. Couldnt tighten the screws defensively and our free throws cost us.

Top 3 is asking a lot.
