I would be too, JB is on weird behavior right now. Tryna artificially manufacture himself into an influencer by starting false drama.
I mean it’s not false drama Tatum wanted him gone that’s all. So it’s probably frustrating seeing Tatum pretend like it was all love.
Nothing that has been said or reported proves this. It’s far more likely Brown is upset Tatum didn’t stop the trade. Had he gone to the front office and demanded Brown NOT be traded, it likely wouldn’t have went through.
But go ahead and believe differently cause Brown made some vague statements that could mean either or nothing.
At no point has it seemed like Tatum wanted anyone gone. He just isnt inserting himself into Front Office situations.

He made an obvious joke reference to a meme Kanye moment, at a post championship party, and people are acting like he wasn’t referencing it.
So the whole thing is that he said one line the same as Curry, and the rest is just filler to pad it out.

With the contract situation Jaylen was probably getting traded no matter what, but with Tatum’s injury, Brad Stevens got to trade him at the absolute peak of his value. Imagine how much you would’ve gotten for him if he hadn’t just had the best statistical season of his career as a number one option.

He’d still be one of the best wings in the league heading into his prime - if anything, his trade value seemed to lower this summer because of the increased attention/criticism in response to that “best statistical season” and playoff exit.
Part of me thinks in the universe we keep him, even with reduced counting stats his trade value would’ve increased over the next few years. Maybe I’m wrong.
I think his trade value dropped the moment he signed the supermax. It just wasn’t talked about much because he wasn’t getting traded.

Honestly, the Celtics broadcast last night keeps making fun of it, which is the only thing adding fuel to the fire. If Jaylen Brown is smart he won’t say anything else because people just keep making fun of his stupid lamb chops and gravy line. Clearly, he tried to vague post about it, and it came across corny as hell.
There’s also zero chance Tatum doesn’t have a better year than him if they both stay healthy, Brown is in a weird spot where he’s actually a smaller part of the offense now than when he was playing with Tatum.
