Poor Nets fans, especially after that brutal loss.
It’s sad how there was that one year where they had such huge potential and just never built up momentum the following seasons.
This will not make Nets fans feel better right now but I see this team right now (despite the bad record) being very similar to the 2020-2021 Knicks team (that also had Julius Randle) where they had these hard fought games for the most part win or lose.
Keep in mind, that team didn’t start winning consistently until around late December. They were still bad before that record wise in October and November.

Ehh I think that was actually around 2023 when the transition fully commenced from the Randle/RJ/IQ/D-Rose/Obi era to the Brunson/Hart/OG/KAT/Bridges era.

Dude they were rebuilding after losing out on KD, Kyrie, Kawhi, and Zion and being at the bottom of the dumpster in 2019. It literally set us on the course to get to the success of the current Knicks (the players and coaches themselves would tell you that). People hadn’t been excited about the franchise since the Melo era and that 2020-2021 team gave people hope for the first time since then.
Playoff frauds sure but you always start with flashes of hope in the reg season.
