Dude dropped 32 and 36 on this injury plus a hyperextension against last year’s Spurs defense in the playoffs.

If this fixes him y’all are gonna see some goddamn fireworks.

“Dread it, run from it, Anthony arrives all the same.”

I was really surprised they didn’t do anything in the offseason to address it he was so clearly compromised in the playoffs.

This reporter is saying it’s a meniscectomy, so they’re shaving a tiny part off his meniscus.

May not have been runner’s knee, might have been a tiny meniscus tear.

Jaden needs to average 20+ there’s no excuse not to

Might be fucked anyway - he sucked in the Cavs game.

This got posted earlier

I’m scared because idk who it’s going to hit next

He was balling tho, maybe it wasn’t bothering him?

It was reported that he felt good enough and then it got much worse during the Heat game.

You have no idea about medical therapy and its guiding principles

70 business days straight

I’m taking notes

Put up 47 last night on one damn leg too

Love the analogy 😂

This wasn’t the same knee. That was runners knee and surgery does nothing

hurt on company time, rehab on company time i guess haha

making assumptions without knowing anything besides a headline

We have two road/home B2Bs this week in the second week of the season including one where we play in Minnesota to San Antonio.

That feels like a lot right up front.

We were 4 games into the year… how is the length of the schedule being blamed here?

bro they’ve played 3 games?

This is obviously a sign that the NBA needs to invest in a high speed rail system!

It’s not the length of the season, it never was.

If anything is to blame, it’s the workload of the players during training, the off season, and adolescence. We are seeing the real time effect of over training during puberty and it has nothing to do with the NBA.

Other stars did it for years in shit conditions and had long careers. The length is not the problem it is the speed of the modern game.

Are we supposed to feel bad for these athletes who going to make half a billion in their career playing 30 min a game, 82 games a year? Actually they don’t even need to play 82 games. They can sit out or rest whenever they want to. Whose contracts are guaranteed so if they get injured or just plain don’t perform, they’re still set for life?

Solution is to cut regular season games? That’s fine with me as a fan, but these athletes aren’t going to agree to it because fewer games equal less revenue, which equals less pay.

But this is only the 3rd game

This can happen to players after one game.

The players don’t have to sign up for it.

People get hurt in sports. As long as sport exists, athletes will get hurt competing.

Just wait till we get euro teams

Is it that or is it having guys play comp AAU ball since the age of 8?

Adam Silver was five years old when the NBA went to an 82 game schedule with multiple conferences.

What the fuck are you talking about

I mean this is a continuation from Ant’s lingering injury from last year that he missed 20+ games for. The doctors had hoped it would heal itself with an off-season of rest but as soon as it flared up again, Ant said fuck it and got the operation for his long term health.

You lucky Silver not a sicko and do what Baseball does with double headers

The real issue is that the AAU circuit has players with real serious miles when they come into the NBA vs players who just played a high school season.

Not to mention the way the game is played with massive tempo changes, start-stop motions, etc. it’s a lot of wear.

They used to take buses lol, cry me a fucking river

It was for decades when they were sitting coach? Idk something feels up but might just be us knowing more guys?

yeah it is actually

It was in the 80s and 90s

Had to NOW feel bad for these guys when decades ago guys were still playing as many games and making a tenth of what these guys are making. I’m fine with a player health being one of the factors that determine team success.

The NHL has it worse

The players are the bigger roadblock.

Players have been asked in polls if they want a shorter seasonn they overwhelmingly say no because they would make less money

You forgot the part where they get plenty of time off and make mountains of cash

Sadly off the clock behaviors compound to this problem

Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine is the exclusive provider for the Timberwolves so whatever is going on he’s in good hands.

As a Wolves fan, I’m actually decently confident that they can survive without Ant (although a top 3 seed is probably unrealistic). Ayo did great without him last year, and Shannon’s taken a real step forward this year. Guys like McDaniels and Kuminga can probably pick up some scoring slack, although I personally would prefer to keep Kuminga in his current role.

But they’re now VERY thin without Ant and DiVincenzo. A sprained ankle or a bad back and the team is in trouble.
