he’s a high IQ player. doesn’t make a lot of highlight plays but he makes good plays way way more often than he makes mistakes. and that’s true on both ends.
pods gets better every month at picking his spots. he has the whackadomoment every now and then, but they’re fewer and fewer. and his shots are getting more and more automatic. aside from the errant absolute airball. like a snake coming up to bite you.
He just consistently makes the right choice.

It’s the fourth game of the season and he’s already missed one game. I think he’s gonna be very pace conscious for most of the season. Plus with Yax, they have another guy who can create for himself and create for others. Steph was rejuvenated like this as well when they had Jimmy. Having a point forward next to the goat shooter so he doesn’t have to play hero ball and get tripled at half court does wonders for his efficiency and scoring. His field goal attempts are low but his efficiency and per minute scoring are very high right now to start the season. I’m sure he’ll ramp it up in that February - April stretch. He always goes off late season.
