Not to do revisionism but I do think the Bucks front office were given a hard time about their efforts to build around Giannis.
The Bucks made the ECF semi-finals or better for 4 straight seasons (including a chip) with consistently good rosters.

And then three straight first round exits, followed by not making the playoffs. They had their run but let’s not get carried away now.
Maintaining a title winning team is difficult.
Being contenders for 4 straight years and getting a chip is better than what most GMs do for their star players.
And let’s not act like Giannis has no accountability for those 1st round exit, especially after green-lighting firing a coach to bring in Doc Rivers.
I never really understood the argument about player dictated FA moves having this much weight. Yes superstars have influence over these decisions, and Giannis definitely did, but it is the job of the front office to build a winning team. Staying competitive is one thing, and the Bucks had their run(s). But not making the right moves around a superstar player should get called out too.
Also worth noting - when your player is far and away the best player in the conference, this is especially true imo. I’m not saying it’s easy - it’s definitely easier said than done. But it is mindboggling to watch what they did post 2022.

Teams weren’t as deep back then you just needed serviceable players to surround the top end talent.
First Heatles team had a serviceable Mike Miller who probably is way better than current Klay. Current team is at best a play in team.
To be fair, Mike Miller was hurt for a good portion of the 2010-11 season. Only played about 41 games that year.
He was barley in the lineup that first season due to injury.

I think its time for the Heat to move on from Giannis, he deserves better. They should be looking to move him asap, possibly to a smaller market team like the Bucks, who have some good resources to surround him with better teammates.
