The Wizards letting him score 83 is the most shameful performance in NBA history and I will die on this hill.

It’s nuts that a guy has a 83 point game and a 4 point game in the same season

DaveDabussy

14 | 6 hours ago

Eh. Kobe had 11 the season he had 81

nhthelegend | MIN

39 | 5 hours ago

First of all he had 81, second of all, 11 is not comparable to 4 lmao. He still hit double digits, 4 is just sad.

DaveDabussy

U right about the 81 my bad, edited.

As for the 11, kobe would disagree with u

Relative_Apricot5032

Kobe also had a track record of being the best scorer in the league

Melo_Mentality | WAS

1 | 4 hours ago

11 isn’t good but it is still almost 3 times as much as 4. Kobe’s high would have needed to be 228 for 11 to be as pathetic

CurrentRoster | WAS

17 | 6 hours ago

i never want someone hurt at all, ever, but i was very surprised no one tried to hard foul to just take him off the court after he had 62 in three quarters. we literally kept doing the exact thing that made him kept scoring in a game we already lost

All the Wiz had to do was stop fouling. Thats it.

It really shows how broken the modern day nba offense is and should open people’s eyes . We need a middle ground when it comes to offense and defense

Deep-Ad5028

Nah, Wizards just played uniquely awful.

MichuAtDeGeaBa_ | IND

Yeah they kept fouling him for some reason when he was clearly gassed midway through the third and just chucking up three’s that he had basically no hope of making.

“letting him”

They were fouling him in the 4th which is why he got so many FTs.

Just realized we may have delusional folks in a few years genuinely try to argue that Bam should be in the HOF just because of that 83pt game…

Obvious_Parsley3238

35 | 6 hours ago

Heat fans were telling us that he can space the floor because he shot 37% on wide open 3s or something

BigOlPass | LAL

94 | 6 hours ago

Yeah but he scored 83 last year. So…

RestaurantEastern887

24 | 6 hours ago

He was 81 games away from averaging 83 ppg for the season

choyMj

3 | 6 hours ago

Or he would have averaged a little over 1ppg is he never scored in any other game the entire season, while playing all 82.

I wasn’t even mad at it, it was more the discourse surrounding it that annoyed me. Felt like lots of fans wanted us to pretend it didn’t happen the way it happened

I was mad at it. Lowest pgg for a season for anyone who scored 50+. The worst big game of the modern era. Mockery of the sport.

Personally I never found it that impressive given how many times he was fouled. Like ya, I hope you score a lot if you shoot 43 fucking free throws. Like wtf were the Wizards even doing that game…

Exaclty since when is fouling while up 15+ points in the 4th quarter ever been seen as acceptable

Ok_Pineapple_Num | GSW

There were some Heat fans who got very offended every time anyone so much as even joked about that game. Which was hilarious. Bc that 4th quarter was the real fucking joke.

Bam went for 83 as a joke one Tuesday night and now it’s lead to Giannis wasting at least a year of his prime lmfao

Repulsive-Throat5068 | LAL

Fuck that, Giannis asked for this

neongem | SEA

Giannis wasted his own prime. He had so many better destinations if he wanted to win. That trade absolutely gutted the Heat. They’d be better off without making it tbh.
