Since the year we won a ring, we’ve been a top five team in 3pt%, aside from two years where we were 10th. Last year we were second, and the year before we were top.

Five of our best 3pt shooting seasons in our entire 59 year history came in the 10 year span Giannis was on the team, including the top three (20-21, 25-26 and 24-2).

How much of that success can be attributed to Giannis?

he gets his teammates open looks all the time, force them to pack the paint. if they cant hit an open shot that is on them not him.

Because it’s not true. He’s led 3 #1 seeds, won a championship, won the in season tournament, won a bronze Euro league with Greece.

Both him and Luka clearly make their teammates better.

? Luka is literally known to carry bad rosters to a lot of wins

Giannis is a PF tho with pretty good playmaking that he himself thinks are REALLY good. He’s never going to elevate teammates the way guys like Luka, Shai or Jokic can do, especially since his defense has declined a lot since his championship run

Every fucking thread is Luka now. This place is the Lakers sub

Not from Celtics fans! We’ve been talking about his tunnel vision and lapsing defense for years!

“stars always gonna figure it out” lmao

They were acting as if LeBron was going to make it better. Clunky clunky team from the start

I kept seeing videos saying that the Heat were legit or gonna be scary. I kept wondering if I was missing something because they don’t have legit costar for Giannis, and Bam’s not good enough defensively for it.

“Defenses will respect Bams 31% 3pt%”

It’s why his 83 point game is probably the greatest fluke in sports history lol

showing this to me pops who thinks bam is better than AD

Bam and Giannis is a particularly a bad fit. Two bigs who both want the ball and neither are good shooters is clunky.

I know it’s “Bam is a basketball terrorist time right now” but he could work somewhat as a Draymond, but the Heat continue to force him a high level scorer and he just hasn’t progressed in that area.

For this team to work they needed elite shooters who can work off ball, and well that didn’t happen.

I mean he scored 83 points that one time, his offense must be pretty good.

The jays are both floor spacers though

Is he the goat in trade package stats?

respecting Bams 83 I see

May God hear you.

Facts

Im assuming you mean post championship Giannis

Our top 3 3pt shooting seasons in history came in the past five years with him on the roster

They’re killing you for stating facts

What about when they put him with a great shooting PG and a floor-spacing center that protects the rim. Surely that team would have been unstoppable, right?

Yeah I have no idea why the Heat even did this trade, anyone with half a brain in bball could see it’s a bad fit on paper, and surprise surprise, it’s a bad fit in practice too.
