Well a lot of us live in OKC/OK, but loving the Thunder comes naturally? The players are likeable and show good sportsmanship, the games are electric, and they’re very talented. What is this comment supposed to mean, exactly?
It’s a weird question for sure, but man this version of the Thunder is really easy to hate.
A little less easy because they don’t have Dort anymore, but still super easy to hate.
Right now? The Thunder have been playing nicely so far and it’s hard to hate when almost every game so far something happens to one of our players. Hell, we lost Oweh in the preseason. This “version” of OKC is the least easy one to hate lmfao.
Now Dort? Yeah he was dirty on the court, no denying that, but he was likeable outside of it.
You gotta think too, it’s regional to a certain extent. Kansas is in that mix. We were geeked getting an NBA team that was driving distance.
The other closest is Dallas and that’s a 6 hour drive from central Kansas. Denver being a 9 hour drive.
90% of okc’s fanbase lives here. The bandwagoners left after the KD and Russ era ended. With the amount of hate shai gets, I don’t think we have a lot of admirers outside of the state. Maybe Kansas and Arkansas folk fuck with us because it’s regional and they don’t have pro teams, but it’s mostly just us okies out here
