Germany World Cup and Eurobasket Gold/NBA is a strong case.

HoF weighs international play strongly considering the degree of difficulty of overcoming a powerhouse like the USA.

Sergei Belov, Dražen Dalipagić, Dražen Petrović - good examples of HoFers rewarded for their European play. Couple that with a 12k point / almost 5k assist NBA career and your arm is getting pulled pretty hard to vote him in.

I’m genuinely baffled he didn’t pan out in the NBA at the level i thought he would. He just sort of drifts from team to team but anyone can see that the talent is absolutely there. I had high hopes for him.

Because they let so many people in and it is an international HOF, there is a small argument for him. I hope this conversation continues.

I think he gets in on international play alone, no?

MITSchröder

I think he might be hall of very good, extremely small HOF argument

if he got in, I wouldn’t complain though

He’ll definitely make the Hall of Interesting.

The ultimate “Journey Man” (or slave as Dennis prefers to say).

He’s going to be in the hall of fame because of his international play, NBA don’t know

He is going to the HALL OF FAME

He’s like the ultimate Michael Jordan of the journey man

Depending on your personality it could be the ideal NBA career. America isn’t even his home, it’s like he’s getting paid millions to spend one long vacation all over the country, and when his luck dries up here he can go home rich and get on a team there too

You have to be just good enough where someone will want you and bad enough that teams don’t need you

It wouldn’t be that hard to break if that was the main goal of a star player, just sign 1 year deals here and there, but yeah, this record will probably stick for a long time.

It’s crazy how much of a butterfly effect not taking that 4-year deal with the lakers back in 2021 did to his career. I don’t believe the lakers were gonna be a championship level team, but he would’ve had a huge payday and been a fixture on playoff lakers teams. Russell Westbrook lakers would’ve never happened. For his own career, he would’ve been a starter instead of this journeyman.

His agent needs to be fired lol

if he was even a shred better, he would’ve stuck around in a few of these places.

He didn’t even need to be better. Two things could have easily changed the trajectory of his career-

not getting caught on video jumping some dude outside of a club with three friends, shoving him to the ground, and kicking him repeatedly to put him in the hospital.

not fumbling the bag in LA

A third one wouldn’t have changed much, but it might have helped his HOF case

not getting caught on video threatening a heckler

If you consider Robert Horry a journeyman, I think he’s got everyone beat.

Probably the most accurate description of Schroeder ever.

if russ counts its probably him. he played for 7 teams in the last 7 years

Depends on whether you consider KD a journeyman or not I guess

would be good on a team like Denver to get the joker buff

Hey giving a guy similar chances repeatedly to come be the guy is certainly enough to say he was always good enough at his job

I loved him in OKC. Just the perfect 6th man

He’s good enough to get the job. He’s not good enough to keep it.

There was one team that offered, but he fumbled it

How come they dont wante me, man?

He’s a locker room cancer, really skilled Hooper though
