Jaylen Brown attempts to ISO and turns the ball over
Bron may as well take a seat and get some popcorn because JB was playing 1v5
Sure he shouldn’t grab some lamb instead?
this is the JB we know and love
Probably thinking about lamb chops
Dont forget the gravy
Kinda surprised he didn’t slip and fall down
Nah man the JB I love was finals MVP
5⁄20 in this game btw. But you’ll never hear about it
great team D by pistons whole game
Honestly these aren’t even the most brutal ones, he’s tends to have backbreaking runs where he just turns it over consecutively
Holland and thompson are such a fun pair defensively.
Get used to this Philly fans, he loves doing that. Love, from a Celts fan
Maxey is WIDE open in the corner right there
Brown had a tendency for tunnel vision. That and bad offball defense are what hurt his advanced stats a lot
no but advanced stats bad nerds just make them up to fit in
Watching Tatum again really reminded me of how unable Brown is to make a skip pass
watching that replay once again, at the end when he’s failing at bully ball he faces directly at an open lebron, didnt even have to skip pass.
like that time he fucked up a pass and Tatum tore his achilles trying to grab it?
Brown is not a good play maker, or good offensive initiator (he can initiate for himself to get the bucket) for the team.
JB can’t make that pass, its not in his bag.
both Brown and Maxey have worst tunnel vision ive seen last few years
putting them together gonna be a whole tun of it
ive been bitching about Maxey on our sub for years, dude missed literally 50+ Alley Oops to VJ last year and already a few this season, but Brown is the same. Tunnel vision
I think the difference to me is that Maxey has the speed to go for it and I can understand why he does it. He doesn’t iso like Brown does where he drivesto get a middie by the free throw area.
my issue with Maxey is hes All Gas No Breaks and isnt a IQ player
the fact a Rookie VJ averaged more assists than him last year says it all, hes just not a PG at all , so hes a 6-2 SG whos fast but cant defend anyone and cant really see the court
great scorer but people dont realize what he is, Brown is very similar but atleast can defend people, worse shooter but better at everything else
either way they both been top 5 tunnel vision players in the league for alteast 3 years
Bron is the best pg for those guys those, see JR Smith
I actually was looking at stats yesterday and derived a stat of “assist to pass ratio” using NBA tracking data on passes per game
Of every player in the NBA to have 55+ games played and 6+ assists per game, Maxey had the lowest of any player.
Roughly 10% of Maxey’s passes ended in an assist. The highest player, SGA, had a number of 17% ending in an assist (closely followed by Devin Booker and Cade Cunningham).
I can’t send images in this thread but if anyone wants to see the full table you can send me a DM/reply
Look who Maxey played with last few years. Hes better off keeping the ball then pass to players like Oubre and grimes
sure yea but Maxey is def way better off ball shooting
hes not a true PG at all, he kinda finally got some vision now but its not natural to him at all, you either got that or you dont
Didn’t seem to matter with Embiid playing. So as always, we live and die with him I guess
No but people are just making up criticisms about him. Don’t you know JB has zero flaws in his game?
JB wants to carry a team by himself
Lock down defense right there
Brown dribbling the air out of the ball, per usual
It’s heartwarming to see defense like this. Too many players just coast and never put in the work.
Welcome to the Jaylen Brown experience Philadelphia.
Jb really kept Ron Holland out of the rotation. For shame
Ron Holland is showing a lot more assertiveness with the ball this year, even if he’s not making shots.
We tried him in the playoffs last year and Donovan Mitchell cooked him.
He didn’t even play in orlando
Give Ron Holland III credit in your title you Tatum PR merc.
Ge has been so good his entire career but he always has these plays.
Great defense.
Shoulda passed to Bron
Many such cases!
0 vision
lol same user who just posted JB’s stats for the game. generational hater
It’s just a little lamb chops and gravy, relax
i sure can’t wait to read that line over and over again ad nauseum for the next month every time the sixers play
I’m sure us and Sixers fans will get bored of it and forget soon…..
Press X to doubt
inshallah brother
Some Celtics fans are purely Tatum stans. Some are purely JB stans. Some just hate all the drama
I’m a stan for the guy that’s on the team
The other guy didn’t choose to get traded. I’m more of a Tatum fan but that doesn’t mean I want to see brown crash and burn
Don’t really care. Only care about players in green
and i love the drama
But the general Celtics fanbase has always defended Tatum waaaay more than Brown
It’s mainly because Tatum is a much better player
Yeah, no real Celtics fans ever saw them as equals. This is a weird comment by that guy, its like saying “why do Thunder fans defend SGA more than JDub” or “why do Nuggets fans defend Jokic more than Jamal Murray”
On reddit. Where people love to rade bait or to post ridiculous short sided anger. I hate any team sub i root for because it always has a lot of this when things go south.
He literally had a party FOR BOSTON FANS AFTER he was traded to a RIVAL and a shit ton of Boston fans went to SUPPORT HIM. lol
Guys I looked up u/HesiPullup comment history. This guy lmaoooo
According to NBA fans, there are 5 teams that have two top-20 players: The Bucks now have the #1 and #12 players in the NBA. The Nuggets have #4 and #20. The Celtics have #5 and #17. The Suns have #7 and #11. The Lakers have #9 and #15. How would YOU rank these 5 duos for next season only?Idk how you can have Brown and Tatum over KD and Book/u/HesiPullupr/nba1 pointsThu Sep 28 2023 23:11:45 GMT-0400 (3 years ago)
All of Jaylen Brown 8 turnovers in game 7 vs. the Miami Heat. 5/29/23And if the Suns are a regular season team, so is this Celtics teamHow many more chances do they need? And now they won’t be getting any better paying that much to Brown and soon Tatum. The end is near, I’m afraid./u/HesiPullupr/nba2 pointsTue Jul 25 2023 13:42:14 GMT-0400 (3 years ago)[See on reddit]
Jaylen “All-NBA” Brown checks out midway through the 4th quarter: 41pts, 13rebs, 1stl, 62%FG +28Then they don’t know basketballJaylen Brown has never been a first option on a finals team and there’s a chance he never will be/u/HesiPullupr/nba-6 pointsSun Mar 26 2023 23:02:27 GMT-0400 (3 years ago)[See on reddit]
What’s a controversial opinion you have of a young NBA player?>Brown is becoming a more reliable and efficient shooter, while Beal is a low efficiency high volume shooter.Lol why you gotta just make stuff up?/u/HesiPullupr/nba17 pointsSun Sep 26 2021 14:36:15 GMT-0400 (5 years ago)[See on reddit]
[Spears] Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics have agreed on a five-year supermax extension worth up to $304 million, the richest contract in NBA history, his agent Jason Glushon of @GlushonSM tells ESPN.Is Jaylen Brown a star now?/u/HesiPullupr/nba1 pointsTue Jul 25 2023 13:16:22 GMT-0400 (3 years ago)[See on reddit]
Caught his ahh capping😂😂😂
Yo I’m ngl this is just way too much effort for a reddit comment
Sorry but this just isnt true. Celtics fans were saying Jaylen Brown was better than Luka because of his finals MVP.
“JB is Luka’s father. He owns him. One has a finals mvp”
also every time someone would say JB has no left hand jokes Celtics fan would get sensitive and defend their guy.
He was called a fraud all star before he the 2024 playoffs. Celtics fans defended him
Find the threads on his Dunk contest, 2023 Heat series, his twitch stream clips, etc. all you will find is Celtics fans defending him and supporting him
Now ask Celtics fans who deserved that Finals MVP
Not true at all a lot of us didn’t even want to trade him for Giannis. (There was a poll on r/bostonceltics)
Also there’s a A LOT of ppl irl like the thousands who attended his block party.
that was a nice sendoff all considered
Good. The point is to hold JB to the same standard this sub held JT on Tuesday. Apparently good players aren’t allowed to have games, but this post won’t get the same attention of course.
Classic
Gravy haha
Gravy on that ball
Imagine writing a title like this that makes it about Jaylen Brown instead of absolutely phenomenal defense
pretty sure JT wasn’t given that same grace in the Cs loss
Yall are like two toxic exes that won’t get over each other
The toxic ex is the media trying to cling on to the drama.
2 years ago this exact title would get tons of upvotes and laughs and memes about going left. But not his jersey isn’t green so it’s about the defense? Fuck off
he had some real stinkers tonight but this was genuinely fantastic defense idk what you want
Phenomenal defense but also tunnel vision.
Yeah Brown had multiple teammates wide open and continued to ignore them. Obviously this was great D but Brown made the decision to run right into it until he turned the ball over
Paul George feasted on that Detroit defense. Some guys are just built to handle that pressure better.
He had an open pass to LeBron fucking James, and still decided to go straight at the guy blocking his entire path to the rim.
Ykb
Ron Holland cooked his ass
