His PR team doing overtime tonight

Literally the exact flaws that he displayed on the Celtics, and yet ppl acted like it was just being a “hater” if you pointed them out. Tunnel vision and questionable decision-making.

The JB experience

That’s our JB. Love the dude but sometimes he just cant stay within himself.

You’re just now telling me this for the first time

Lolol fr. Simply a brand new phenomenon.

/s (obvs)

For me it was the random atrocious FT shooting games where one would wonder if he ever was a decent FT shooter at any point in his life lol. Philly fans got a taste of that tonight too

when he’s not hitting he’s borderline useless

Yeah that’s always been what soured me on him as a player. He doesn’t do anything else at a high level.

He might be a little bit better isolation scorer than Tatum – but Tatum adds value in every other area where Brown is average or worse. Add in that he’s not even a consistent high-level scorer and that’s why the analytics show what they show.

I think most fans just genuinely haven’t watched him play much, but they see his highlights and then determine that the analytics don’t match the “eye test”. But for most people who aren’t super knowledgeable about basketball (myself included), eye test just introduces more bias than anything

To be fair to him, iso is his best usage. He is not good at other aspects of the offence.

Duncan has been insane so far

I wonder if we will get into the Kyrie race to bring him in as that second creator

Honestly, Ausar has been doing a pretty good job running point. You could really see the difference today in his absence. Once we slowed down it was way harder to get things going without him initiating and Cade playing more off ball

That depends on Ausar. He’s got the passing and off ball movement, if he shoots 2 or 3 middies per game he can be a great point forward option.

Kyrie to Detroit? Would be fire ngl, Dallas ain’t winning this season, if they can get some picks and some salary cap open, they can build a better team around Cooper.

Keep in mind, Philly had two starters out as well and on game 2 of a back to back.

Yet he claims there’s no beef

And Tatum is the exact opposite. I be begging Tatum to try harder and be more selfish but this dude would rather have 10 assists than 30 points

what kind of dumb fuck opinion is this

Jesus Christ, come on.

🧢

And he could have left it at no beef, but he had to bring lamb chops and gravy into it.

And your big “gotcha” of JT bringing up JB first is JT literally saying nothing but nice things about JB. Yeah, you really made a great point there.

He didn’t play great tonight, shot really bad

Cade definitely outplayed him tonight

Tatum was mostly being guarded by Cade, not Ausar

Barlow is an unexpectedly good big man for our small ball lineup. If we play fast and free small ball line up when Embiid is sitting, Barlow is Serviceable until the Sixers can trade for someone in December

Luckily for them, they got Brown without selling the farm. They actually have a fair bit of draft capital, which is unusual for a team that has recently acquired an All-NBA wing.

He knew what he was getting into. I think if he really just wanted to chill, he would have gone to Cleveland.

These stats will eventually level out and brown is still a better player than pg however I think Brad will still be vindicated in that pg plus two very valuable first round picks is better in the Boston system than brown on a supermax for the next 5 years

(he was eligible for a super max extension from the Celtics around now that he definitely would’ve made a stink should demanding)

What about Giannis?

Holland’s also great defensively

Ron holland has underrated defense tbf. That dude straps

lol slow down bruh, coming off their first back to back

Ron Holland is no slouch defensively either

He’s been passing with some creativity so far.

He’s incredibly good at making impossible circus shots that have no right going in. We just gotta draw up some plays that leverage that (/s in case it wasn’t obvious)

I was ready to root for his continued success (and the sixers downfall) but he has certainly been a little annoying to start the year

Boston people really need to quiet down about all this stuff

Of course he’s a little peeve, he spent the first decade of his career here only to get traded fairly unsanctimonious after one of his best seasons, and of course Tatum probably got the call before it happened

He kind of deserves to be a little peeved, even Boston should stop going around looking for rage bait, and they’d find a lot of their problems solve themselves

Completely agree, but also I really wish this sub could stop overreacting to single game performances in both directions. I definitely got a little schadenfreude seeing this post, but this is gonna get really tiring if we have to do this every other week cause Tatum or Brown had a bad game

Most fans acknowledge that and respect him for what he did but this whole spat with Tatum has made him come off as incredibly immature. There’s no reason for him to force a beef and Celtics fans are naturally going to turn on him if he keeps it going

I wouldn’t go so far as to say I hate or even dislike Brown, but have you not seen the way he’s been dragging a one-sided beef? It’s pretty obvious why the fanbase is pretty annoyed with him right now

I will always appreciate what he did for the city on and off the court, but defending some of his shit was tiresome when he was a Celtic and simply not my concern anymore. Like, the antivaccine stuff, the antisemitic stuff, even just the straight dumb harmless bs like his aura necklace. I don’t hate him, but I don’t miss trying to play his devils advocate

Because there are dumb fans who are hateful by nature.
