This is like that Tyler locker injury. And tank dell. Only difference is sport but Jesus this was bad

Just gotta hope it’s one of those injuries that looks worse than it actually is

it looked like hayward and he was shut down a whole year

jeewantha | SAS

Yeah. He was never the same. The mental recovery is the worst part with injuries that happen to knees and ankles. It’s difficult to convince your body to go for those soaring dunks for a while

LurkerFailsLurking | DEN

Christian Braun’s injury wasn’t nearly this bad, and he said he had to work all summer to get his mind right even after his body had healed.

Yea I just saw the photo w/ his ankle turned sideways. I’m happy he got his money because this is one of those injuries that changes yo as a player

I don’t need the karma.

The mods removed it - it’s with cut from the Thunder and Clippers broadcast (so it took me longer to make)

HD version of it

That’s brutal, lands on it then the reflex of his leg awkwardly snaps it out from under him. That’s just all the worst ways to move an ankle mechanically.

There’s video of it, just have to dig a little. I’m not sure about the Clippers broadcast, but OKC didn’t show a replay.

It puts into perspective how serious the injury is and how emotional it is for the players without me having to watch a guy’s ankle snap in half. I don’t mind them

I will NEVER forget that bench reaction , those players turned around to leap over the chairs & eachother. They were mortified.

Legit like a flashbulb memory. I remember being at Easter dinner and watching the elite eight with my wife’s (gf at the time) cousins when it happened. Had never seen anything like that before and didn’t even know that could happen from playing basketball.

TheOrangeFutbol | LAC

7 | 7 hours ago

I remember listening on radio and just hearing everyone talk about how bad it was. I avoided everything until I opened Facebook randomly later and sawan open bone sticking out at the top of my feed.

That one still haunts me. I’m not sure I’ve really approached jumping, or watching College Basketball the same way since.

lavaplow | NYK

The ware injury was by far the most traumatizing injury I’ve ever seen. Reason is because there was no contact or awkward landing. He went up, came down cleanly on one leg, and his leg snapped like a pencil

theclickhere | DET

9 | 6 hours ago

Plus you don’t usually see the bone sticking out. It was such a bizarre moment.

MaybeNext-Monday

1 | 5 hours ago

Always made me wonder if there was some weird underlying thing, like a tiny fracture he wasn’t aware of, or even a void in the bone. I mean people do way more violent landings every day in this sport with zero issue.
