Good thing he doesn’t have to try to figure out the complex motion scheme that this warrior are running anymore, but can just attack an advantage that set up for him via a playmaker.  You know like how most NBA teams work.  And that fits his skill sets.

Foh

French connection. Being able to talk things through with Gobert & Beringer has likely been immensely helpful to him locking in to him team role. He didn’t have that before.

Worry about your all star Scott

He played the Cavs*

honestly, he’s been doing quite well from the midrange so far this season (obviously small sample size).

tonight was ass

Knicks won the chip, changed nothing, and are now 0-3, so….

I’m seeing 19.9

OP said averaged over 20, which he hasn’t, as that season he averaged 19.9 - less than 20

No he didnt he average 19.9 that is not 20 points a game you cant just round up numbers so you can be right lmao

We don’t use stats to prove stats on Reddit smart ass

Hence the word “over”

Averaging 20 on 56.6% TS isn’t that good

On below average efficiency and has never ever even been league average

His scoring is just a result of taking 15+ shots rather than being a good scorer

He’s an awful shooter

19.9

Lmao hot takes all around in this thread.

This sub is unusable for actual discussion anymore. Just wait until something happens that proves your opinion and fire out hot takes, everybody will agree with you cause it just happened.

That said Scottie’s offense has always been extremely underwhelming and it seems like an effort thing. He doesn’t look for his own offense, he did against the Cavs and absolutely cooked them so its weird

If the Raps want to be a legit contender, they need to figure out the Poetl problem or they won’t beat any team with strong interior D.

Darko needs to find two lineups to play during the regular season too if Kawhi’s knee gives him problems on and off, and something tells me the games that Kawhi is out, they need to find a way to give CMB 25+ mins to be more successful.

Jesus Christ, man

Nobody gives a shit about the raptors at all since Kawhi left lol

0 is 0

Definitely not the Knicks they’re 0-3. Becoming only the 2nd “champions” in nba history to do so

Most fraudulent ring ever.

Based on what? The four seasons they’ve played where Franz leads him in every metric including defensive ones? Or the game tonight where the German dropped 23/13/9 in a dub vs the reigining champs

All Barnes has over him is the game 7 where he turned into a ham sandwich

Idk. It’s Mobley, Cade, Franz, Sengun and like 7 more guys til bums

Well tell your feelings that the stats say this is his worst game lol

at least he shot the ball 12 times

That’s actually worse. It’s basically 12 more turnovers.

low level ball

The 4th Ball brother kept in the basement

As a wolves fan turning 40 this year, all of my 20s and a solid amount of my teens and 30s feel personally attacked by this sarcasm

I mean, part of it is that the Warriors play a really unusual and non-standard offensive style where the ball is constantly being swung around with a lot of softball screening action.  Wolves are running a more traditional offensive, initiator stuff where a playmaker can get him the ball in an advantage situation where he can attack.  Which is what he wants to do where either catches and shoots or catches in attack. The warrior wanted him to pass it to Curry or some other action like that which is not what he naturally does.

He just was a terrible fit for the offense that the warriors run to maximize curry, but he’s a better fit for an offense where LaMelo is initiating the offense.

Defensively he’s just a massive upgrade over Randall and Naz

this is the exact statement his last two team’s fans said

Kuminga was genuinely bad on the warriors but that was because it was a bad fit

he will be a massive X factor in the NBA finals for the Wolves.

……. subscribe

It’s really funny how this is seems to be turning into the exact inverse of the Andrew Wiggins situation. Super athletic high draft pick who couldn’t cut it as a number ¹⁄₂ option because of significant effort/basketball IQ issues goes from an underperforming Timberwolves Warriors team to a playoff Warriors Timberwolves team and reinvents themselves as an overqualified role player with great defense, all the while their old teams fans warn that their effort level won’t last. Hopefully it works out as well for us as Wiggins did for them.

Bro said NBA finals lol

Lmao, this guy will flame out of the rotation by the 50 game mark. He isn’t a good player

Maybe Steve Kerr WAS the issue

I’d be surprised if he wasn’t putting in the effort right now. Effort on defense is everything and he has no choice after completely screwing up his career path.

You don’t know what a zone defense is clearly.

Did he flame out on the Hawks… ? From what I remember he looked good in the post season compared to his peers - the rest of the teams the Knicks faced.

I mean that definitely could be a descriptor of an injured player, especially coming off a calf pull. That shit will get get in your head even if you don’t have any pain.

Sounds like you described someone playing through an injury lol

They’re referencing a moment on Friday where he had to sit and get treatment after coming down funny on his one leg

True, he does look injured a lot lol. Something about his gait/posture.

O ok I love kum up my ball hole

Brunson, Cade, Giannis, Duren, Maxey pretty easy stuff. These people are slanderproof to the midwit

Even Mitchell and Brown get more of a pass when they terrorize their team

I think he’s done well against everyone. Giannis got his, but it wasn’t easy. He’s been excellent.

I feel like his defense that game was really good, it just got lost thanks to his atrocious offense.
