Ok so my cat learned how to push out the screen on my bedroom window. I woke up to her meowing loudly and when I put my glasses on I saw she was outside on the ledge. So now I need to secure the screen somehow.

Window is a Jeld-Wen V2500 vinyl window. I’m thinking a few mending plates or some flat bar I can install in the vinyl frame. The bottom of the screen is slightly recessed from the frame.

Looks don’t matter since the window faces the backyard and my cats safety is more important.
