Caleb Wilson in his 3rd NBA game: 30 points 14 rebounds on 10-24 shooting
10-24 overall, 1-9 from 3, 9-11 from the line. Not bad for second night of a back-to-back.

bulls have finally got the franchise player. exciting times for bulls fans ahead
I’m interested to see how these teams that have historically been mediocre go forward with potential franchise guys.
Caleb, Dybansta, Acuff, DP, and I’m sure others make some futures look good. But we’ve seen a lot of teams get quality young prospects who then don’t do anything right.
Out of all the teams, I think Memphis will likely be the fastest and smartest about this with Cam.
Lets pump the brakes a little on Acuff for now lol
nah Acuff is going to be good he is only 19 and his efficiency is only going to improve as he plays more nba games. plus playmaking and scoring is just as good advertised.
Let me have this one thing bruh.
Acuff and DP are probably my biggest concerns in that list. But clearly multiple guys (like MBJ, Wagler, etc.) all have real juice.
Honestly, I’m just glad that LAC gets to join in on some fun.
DP has looked solid but I haven’t quite seen a dominant player there yet honestly. He looks more like Mo Peterson than Kobe Bryant like he was pitched. Very composed and calm for a rookie though. His three point shot looks a little shaky though.
Totally. To be clear, any of these guys might not end up being top franchise guys. It’s still way too early to tell.
But point being that they have young talent and I’m curious how these teams move forward.
I mean we are in year one of a rebuild and look WAY better that i thought we would be. So im already happy. We also have 12 first round picks in the next 7 years so only up from here.
Totally. Ranking out the futures of some of these teams, I personally have the Grizzlies first (in part because I do think they have a winning culture and amazing scouts), Wizards second (I think they have a good FO and really interesting prospects), Jazz, Clippers, Bulls, Nets, and lastly the Kings.
It’s some combination of what prospects you have, but also the overall aptitude of the front office. I love what the Grizz are doing especially. I think Boozer is a true franchise star, Edey/Coward are going to be raelly, really good players, and Karim is a good high upside gamble. Then ya’ll just have a nose for good players who will help with development like Ty Jerome, Stewie, and Grant.
Lots to be excited about over there!
yeah I am definitely keen to see how the bulls build around Caleb .
The Jazz have the Ainges, the Grizzlies have a smart GM, and the Wizards have former Thunder staff as the GM. The top 3 all have smart GMs that have acquired a haul of draft capital in the last 3 years that I can easily see the top 3 have their teams build strong teams around them
The new Bulls GM seems smart, but the Bulls don’t have pick hauls like the Jazz, Wizards, and Bulls
I’m not really convinced in present day Ainge, but I guess time will tell. He has done a good job of asset aggregation, but turning that into a contender or high level team is really, really hard.
I like what the Wizards have been doing as well. Grizzlies also have the best scouting for talent IMO.
They already have a franchise player in Giddey. Caleb will be good second option but this will Giddey’s team as long as Giddey is there.
Thank you Josh
lol no this is Caleb’s team
Yeah Splitter sitting Matas and Giddey in the 4th last game showed the whole organization basically saying, “figure out how to play around Caleb or get traded”
We ass but the Chicago Calebs done miracles on me. Kids awesome
Chicago loves their Caleb wil….there are 2 of them!!
Caleb Bonemer next year 👀
hes legit man yall got one for sure, was excited to watch to see him for the first time tonight and he did not disappoint
Dude is electric. Him and Buzelis are highlight machines.
Caleb Wilson: 2026 draft class is the best ever because I’m in it.
This draft really is nuts. There are so many good players from the bottom to the top of this rookie class
Just waiting for people to chime in with “ermmm but the efficiency???” when guys like Acuff and Wilson were super important for their teams in their last games.
You can tell who the box score watchers are when you see those types of comments
i know it’s been like 5 days, but It’s truly an insane draft. The rookies have looked like 3rd year veterans and the 1st overall player hasn’t even played a game
0 turnovers
He’s gonna average 20 a game off his motor alone.
It’s insane. He is also probably the most athletic player in the league. I can’t think of a more athletic player; even the twins aren’t this athletic.
He had like three insane put back layups where he adjusted the shot like I’ve never seen anyone do before. His hang time is insane
Him getting his own misses has been most impressive to me. His second jump is the fastest ive ever seen. He’s like ssbm fox out there
UNC to Chicago pipeline too 🤔🤔
He was an absolute treat to watch at UNC. It was must see tv whenever he was playing. Everyone remembers the buzzer beater to beat Duke, but UNC only stayed in that game because Caleb played like the best player in the country. Down 14 at one point and he hit contested shot after contested shot on all-defensive player Maliq Brown to keep us in it. He’s going to be a superstar.
Eh I think I’d still go with Amen’s athleticism. Obviously they’re all the upper echelon, but Amen’s is legitimately insane.
Both Thompson twins are absolutely more athletic
Caleb is everything and more already. Dude is fucking electric. A nice building block and something to look forward to
All hail gen z t mac
michael jordan 2
He’s a fucking DAWG
He played better than the box score. The three ball wasn’t falling but he was unstoppable when driving to the rim. His motor on both sides of the floor was ridiculous and he made such a big impact with his rebounding and hustle plays. I’m really excited to see how he develops because he’s doing all of this without an NBA-level handle and an inconsistent jumpshot
I really think he might be the best out of this draft. They’re all talented so maybe he won’t be but thats a future all star for sure.
That he’s so productive already with such obvious room for growth. It’s just a matter of if you project his handle and shot to come along enough.
I’m seeing enough shot wise (going back to college + SL) that I think he can be on okayish shooter. I see the percentages right now 3 games in, but just look at the inconsistency? In a good way. Some of the shots he’s hitting… A non shooter doesn’t hit step back 3s with defenders in his face. There were concerns about his FT shooting and he’s had games of 5-6 and 9-11 on a b2b. There’s real touch there. I watched all his games at UNC and he had no business being that good a midrange shooter. A lot of his turnaround jumpers are why are you shooting that types and they just kept going in..
That handle is what I would be worried about in limiting his ceiling. That’s the attribute I think is so difficult to project. If he gets it good enough tho… Oh boy because everything else he’s showing down to even stuff not talked about, like his feel+passing, is very easily projectable into a great player when you look at the whole package.
Watching him the first few games, looks like he’s going to be really good and obviously super athletic. Seems almost like he hasn’t grown into his body yet which is probably normal for people with really long limbs. Like strength wise the way he catches his weight when he lands and how he runs kinda feels like he’s got a little way to go before he’s fully coordinated and strong enough to control everything precisely. I feel like that may lead to early career inconsistencies with things that require touch like shooting and dribbling, but eventually as he gets stronger there will be less fluctuations.
Like this pass at 2:40, watch him after the ball leaves his hands. Everything is all over the place. I really believe as he gets stronger everything has the potential to get way better with more focused movement, which is pretty crazy considering the level he’s at a few games in.
https://youtu.be/zpBodGliIOc?is=d-QVyeUalegFEQSH
He looks like a baby deer sometimes lol. He falls over almost every time he blocks a shot. Its crazy he could look so clunky but can do so many things so well
And with a point guard playing injured/bad
As a UNC alum I’ve been excited watching him from the beginning. Knew he was gonna be a star - It’s been awhile since UNC had a bona fide one
He’s so much fun to watch. The crowd in the arena tonight was all over him. He tried to poster dudes like 10 times no joke
Fuck them refs too, got fouled on the three at the end. He’s going to be an absolute star. I was most impressed by some of the passes he made tonight, he can do it all.
Yeah this class is going down in the history books
The top 4 of this years draft might have 50 all star appearances combined when their careers are over in around 20 years
Just watched the highlights. That second jump is insane.
He’s gonna be very good on eye test alone. Star qualities.
Caleb “tungsten arm odoyle” Wilson
We finally found our face of the franchise. Dude will be a top player in the league once he gets a consistent shot
Absolutely exceptional player. Highest ceiling in this draft class.
Ive been screaming for months that 3 years from now, wilson will be the best player from this draft class.
Most excited I’ve been for a Chicago rookie since the other CW
Man, life is good
We’re back
its over, barring injury or the bulls winning under 20 games, he’s taking it, he’s a freakin’ force out there
Even though we lost. This game from him was electric. Mf tried to posterize so many wizards i was jumping out the couch!
Honestly shocked at how good he looks. That 3 point shot does need some work
He will be the best player in this draft class.
This is my RotY
Caleb “despite the loss” Wilson
we call that the Cooper Flagg stat
dude had 18⁄19 straight losses to end year and stole ROTY lol
while VJ and Kon the x factor that got their team to the playoffs, the same teams that were dog crap the year before without them in the league.
