When we beat the Celtics in the playoffs I was more beyond static that it would surely dismantle their current team and JB was likely being traded. Never expected it would be to us, AND all it would take is us getting off PGs contract and some picks.

Nah Heat fans, at least on here, never really believed they were a top team and we knew we were going to struggle offensive. But the part that makes nearly no-sense is how bad the defense is. We have bottom five defense when most people, including non-Heat fans, thought we have closer to top five defense.

Yea the way the whole team seems to be buying in so far is beyond reasonable expectation. The ball movement is creating open shots, and everyone is putting effort in on defense. A lot of games to go, but pretty much couldn’t have been a better start for this squad.
The swinging of the ball has been great, love the passing (aside from the turnover debacle against the Cavs)

None of Embiid, Maxey, or VJ have ever been selfish and Lebron knows he shouldn’t be the #1 option at this point of his career and knows how to make sure everyone eats.
Only reason Embiid has ever been “selfish” is because he literally had to do everything himself to drag this fucking team into and through the playoffs until his body failed him.
i always knew maxey and vj would be selfless. but watching embiid, brown, and bron freely pass it around makes me so happy to watch. i’m rooting for this team to go all the way so hard. all of them 100% would deserve a chip this year.

TBH that’s just an exposure thing. Embiid has been begging for his teammates to take some load off his shoulders for years. It just happens it always ends up in Embiid passes - they just pass it back to Embiid because they can’t create on their own - Embiid scores, his entire career.
As for Bron and Brown. Bron will do anything because he can do anything. I’m more scared of how Brown is gonna look after his highly motivated chip on his shoulder season is over and if he becomes a ball hog next year.
