Yes, I’m implying that he is a threat to my team, but above that I respect and admire his presence when he’s active.

Just think, there’s a world where PG went elsewhere and we signed him for a shit ton of money

KCP is gonna play great for you guys and will be huge in the playoffs. He’s got 2 rings for a reason.

You forgot 2022

That’s the thing, he hasn’t been able to stay healthy for long enough for people to believe it. A healthy Embiid for a full season is an easy MVP candidate, everyone is forgetting that. Dropped 70 on Wemby

You’d think so, but you should see the state of some of the comments on this sub. People saying we should trade him for AD

He’s unfortunately lost some of the burst he had pre-2024 bc of the knee injuries, he was so clearly top two at the time, and one could argue he wasn’t 2 either.

Appendix cant burst twice, right?

istg if there is 0.01% chance of appendix bursting second time he will be the one. I always allow myself get hyped watching these games, dammit

It’s not a debate when it comes to Embiid vs Maxey. Embiid is clearly a much better player than Maxey is even now. Embiid is clearly a far better playmaker (Embiid makes all the roleplayers more efficient every year whilst Maxey doesnt) & defender than Maxey is and Maxeys always struggled to be efficient in games played without Embiid or an elite playmaker.

Last season Maxey averaged 56 TS% (which is below league average) in games without Embiid. And even in the playoffs, Maxey shot sub 50 TS% in games without Embiid v the Celtics & over 60 TS% in games with Embiid v the Celtics (just like v the Knicks). So yeah Embiid is clearly the best Sixer. Maxey will be efficient now without Embiid because LeBron is there (an elite playmaker) but he’s likely gonna be inefficient again without either like in games without Embiid or Harden in 22-23 & games without Embiid from 23-24 to 25-26.

Maxeys deficiencies as a passer & playmaker are part of the reason why no backup center looks good for you guys though. Sixers fans said Paul Reed is bad when he was the backup big and now he’s thriving in Detroit with better on/offs than Duren.

Backup centers aren’t as skilled as starting centers (especially your elite bigs) so they need a point guard who can get them easy looks and Maxey isn’t a great playmaker so struggles to do it. That explains why Reed looked good with Harden & Cade as his PG and had good on/offs in the regular season & playoffs with both of them whilst he struggled with Maxey as it.

Sixers have LeBron now so they should make LeBron the point guard especially when the backup big is on the floor. Maxey is best offball anyways. He averaged 67 TS% in minutes with Harden & Embiid in 22-23 playing off the ball. Only problem was Maxey didn’t get the volume he got now so imagine what Maxey could do in an even more offball role getting the number of shots he gets now? So basically more c&s 3s as I don’t feel like Maxeys had as much as he should be getting so far. He was someone who’d shoot way over 50% from corner 3s off the catch when you guys had Harden and I doubt he’s lost that ability.

thunder are just wayyyyy too deep. they get value out of everyone, and shai is the best player in the world imo.

Tatum has never been above Embiid in his life

Damn I ain’t know that

Imagine going through life scared to take a risk. That’s the difference between you and me.
