The altars are controversial: many people don’t like clicking altars in maps (some would like a filter applied to altars; I like clicking altars because I can choose a harder difficulty for content in maps). But should currency be in PoE 2 or not? It’s a good defense, not something that would break PoE 2 i think . Anyway tell me if u like altars and if u like the ember ichor

Maybe as an explicit affix modifiers. PoE2 implicit already differs from PoE1 in that corruption mods are not in them. Adding implicit modifiers via Eldritch currency to every base would be a power up, and not really a choice of craft .

I’ve literally never heard of altars being controversial until this post, but ok. It’s kind of hard to implement those currencies since endgame socketables kind of fulfill a similar purpose of adding implicits to your gear.

That being said, what I would like is a similar crafting system allowing us to manipulate prefixes and suffixes seperately.
