So I have a Werner nxt1a08 I bought a long time ago before buying the bugalow I just moved in to. It’s easily resold for 400$ in Toronto.

Costco has the little giant for 240$

Do I sell the Werner and buy the little giant?

Yeah it will work for any occasion but is the worst ladder for any (regular) occasion. Especially using as an extension ladder.

It shines on uneven ground. Like say stairs

the weight thing is real with those multi position ladders. i have a werner myself and it’s not light but it’s manageable for hauling around the house. if you’re mostly doing indoor stuff and occasional outdoor the little giant might be overkill. plus that resale value on the werner is pretty good in toronto right now, you could pocket the difference and grab a decent step stool too

I bought a little giant. It’s a great ladder. It’s also heavy as fuck and a pain to move around. I love the adaptability and have used it tons, especially for extra tall stuff. I also hate dragging it out and using for anything 15 ft or less. If you’ll use it often for gutter cleaning, roof stuff, tree work, etc… it’s great. But if there’s also stuff you want to use it for inside you’ll probably end up buying another smaller one as well.

Yeah exactly. The little giant is great if you pair it with a taller step stool with 3 steps so you need the ladder for bigger jobs.

This is my experience as well.

My house is reasonably small and I don’t wanna store more than one ladder, so the little giant is for me. But it’s heavy as balls and I put off using it until absolutely necessary

Finish carpenter here- go for a Werner. Id rather have a couple sizes of them then those little giants. They’re so awkward and heavy.

As a longtime little giant owner, I would keep the fiberglass stepladder instead. I dread pulling out the heavy LG and only ever use it to get on the roof.

Its nice to have a ladder like that, ive got a master craft version, and another a frame fiberglass ladder for around the house. The little giant style are good for a lot of different things but you dont want to bring it out every time you need a ladder.
